I am requesting a full refund for my recent stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown San Diego.

Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. My room had a noticeable cigarette smoke smell, which I reported to the front desk as soon as I realized it. I was told the hotel was fully booked, so I could not be moved to another room.

In addition to the smoke smell in my room, the hotel itself felt hot, muggy, and had a strong musty odor throughout the property. The overall atmosphere was uncomfortable and did not meet the standard I expected when I booked my stay.

I was also surprised by the expensive parking fee. I was not aware of this cost when I made my reservation. Had I known the parking fee would be so high, I would have considered staying at a different hotel. Combined with the cigarette smell in my room and the uncomfortable conditions throughout the hotel, the unexpected parking charge made the experience even more disappointing.

I reported the problem during my stay, but because the hotel was fully booked, no solution was offered. I paid for a clean, comfortable stay and did not receive the quality of accommodations I expected.

For these reasons, I respectfully request a full refund. At the very least, I believe appropriate compensation is warranted for the issues I experienced and the lack of a satisfactory resolution.

san diego me encanto un lugar muy bonito , y en cuanto al hospedaje todo estuvo bien limpio y muy bien ubicado , nos gusto en general, si lo recomendaria es bonito lugar. si volveria a hospedarme ahi.

Las habitaciones super limpias y cómodas, la ubicación es excelente, no necesitas auto para movilizarte, desayuno bastante variado y bueno. El personal cálido, tambien tiene el café, agua y hielo a disposición de los huespedes durante todo el día

The breakfast was definitely a perk. The space was clean, and there were many choices and varieties of food/beverages including fresh fruit, yogurt, pancakes, sausages. The hotel had amenities like coffee available all day in the lobby, and there was also a self-service laundry. The staff was also very helpful.

Cons:

On one of the days, we didn't receive housekeeping. We were only there for two nights so we didn't bother to complain. Plus, we returned to the room in the evening (out from the morning) so we didn't ask to have the room cleaned since it was already 6pm.
