from check in to check out i couldn't fault it ! the staff were fantastic
The best hotel in Darwin , with the best buffet breakfast.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
I stayed here for two nights before joining the Ghan to Adelaide.
My Executive room was upgraded to an Executive view room, probably due to my HH status.
The lobby was far more impressive than I expected. The rooms are clearly recently refurbished, comfortable and contemporary. Common areas were clean and tidy.
The pool area is nice and I spent a whole afternoon there, having food and drink delivered through the QR code ordering. Gym is well kitted out too.
Breakfast was excellent on my first morning, and the hotel made me a continental breakfast box to take with me due to early departure on the final day.
(Tip - the spread at The Darwin Railway terminal was much more than I expected, so if you are joining the Ghan I wouldn’t bother with breakfast before leaving).
The Executive Lounge was great, with two wonderful hosts. The hors d’ouvres were varied and just enough for me on the first night with some cheese. On the second night, I just popped in for a drink prior to dining at Meraki (absolute must go to if you like Greek food).
The staff were impressive throughout the hotel, smiley and professional.
My only downside was that they serve Chain of Fire wines in the Exec lounge which, as I’ve written in another recent review, are cheap plonk. First world problem I know, but if you don’t put it on your restaurant wine list don’t serve it to your customers who are paying a premium. I switched to a G&T instead, but was looking forward to a good glass of wine.
There are issues in Darwin the same as most cities. Whilst there are homeless people around I certainly didn’t feel threatened as a single woman in the early evening on a Friday night. During the day I walked all around the Esplanade, down to the Courts and Parliament, and to the marina, and its a lovely area.
By far the best hotel in Darwin. A modern fit out, really accomodating staff, good breakfast, good bar and spacious rooms. We travelled with a very large group and we will return.
Very clean and comfortable bed carpet clean and no musky smell overall rooms are worth the stay 👌
Nothing to say
It was a beautiful sized room and was quiet
The pool area needs its own bar area and a more holiday vibe
We’re locals and this is our third stay at the Hilton, and once again it’s been a fantastic experience. Elizabeth in the restaurant and Dipesh at the front desk have both been exceptional. They’re warm, attentive, and consistently go above and beyond to make our stays comfortable.
Each visit feels like a perfect little getaway, and the level of service keeps us coming back. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it.
We enjoyed Executive lounge and food was great
Large hotel lobby with bar and reception. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, but freezing! The aircon works very well, rooms are freezing.
We stayed here for our six-day trip to the NT, using Darwin as our base. On a couple of occasions, we enjoyed evening canapes and drinks in the Executive Lounge, which was a nice way to relax into the evening, meet other guests and enjoy the view over the harbour. The king-size beds were very comfortable and the rooms spacious. Our room was clean and efficiently serviced whilst we were out, each day. Each staff member we encountered was very friendly and chatty. Located in the city centre, it was an easy walk to restaurants, cafes, the waterfront and other attractions, such as Crocosaurus Cove. A quiet, pleasant and relaxed ambience added to the enjoyment.
