Pros:

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a nice and generous breakfast for a few extra bucks! We're looking forward to staying at DoubleTree when we visit Alice Springs in future.

Cons:

Dinner is very expensive compared to most places we've visited and the menu doesn't offer variety.

Alice Springs
Pros:

Got the shuttle bus from the airport. Really friendly staff on arrival who gave us lots of tips and advice for the area, plus complimentary cookies!

The room was ok; a little tired looking and basic. Bed was a bit too firm for me and the bathroom a bit dated and looking in need of some TLC. View from the room was nice overlooking the gardens and pool… so many amazing birds to be spotted!

We had drinks in the bar but the young lad didn’t know how to make a vodka and coke so it took an age to explain the order! Stuck with beers after the first night!

We ate at Saltbush which was really good. Fast friendly service and delicious. We also ordered room service one evening and again, received excellent service and the food delicious. The restaurants get busy so you are advised to pre-book.

Breakfast was good but not a huge amount of choice.

Once we collected our hire car, parking was easy and felt very safe. Everything easy to get to with a car but it is not advisable to walk into town after dark.

Staff very friendly and helpful upon departure. In fact, all of the staff we encountered throughout the hotel were really friendly which was appreciated.

Added bonus to meet the resident peacock in the hotel grounds!!
