Disappointing
Pros:

The location was lovely, 5 min drive to centre, easy to walk to. View from bedroom window was beautiful. Downstairs and bar was very comfortable and seating outside was great. The staff were really nice. Plenty of storage, and good shower

Cons:

Although the downstairs was lovely, when we went past the first flight of stairs the carpet was more than just worn. The treads of the stair carpet were worn down to the wood, and is an accident waiting to happen. All of upstairs needs a lot doing to it. Wall paper coming off at both sides of the bed, and very dusty. There were some very odd marks on the ceiling, which I think is because of extractor fan in bathroom not working, bathroom fittments are rusty and worn which will probably be because of the fan not working. This hotel could be amazing but there is a lot of work that needs to be done first.

Never again
Pros:

Not much

Cons:

Probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Beds and mattresses were hurrendous, uncomfortable and the base was fit for the bin. The whole hotel is very tired, dirty, carpets, rug and toilet floor!!!! Decor hasnt been refreshed for many years. There was also a school ball going on which I feel we should have been told about when booking. Should be knocked down.

A great place to stay.
Pros:

Once again we spent a brilliant 3 days at Carreg Bran. As I have said before it is clean and comfortable. As with any old property there are always things that need to be upgraded but everywhere is kept really clean.
