The most horrible hotel experience ever!
Pros:

I liked that the hotel was in the downtown area and near the market and other Charleston attractions. Not a long ride to any festivities via Uber. The lobby of the hotel was nice. The workout room appeared kempt, but it was too hot for me to enter and try to workout inside. There was no central air working in the room. The housekeeper was really nice. Although her English was limited, she did her best to accommodate us w/the towels that we needed.

Cons:

The room was clean overall, but the bathroom was in HORRIBLE conditions. I called down several time during our stay to ask to be moved to another room, but to our surprise, they sent the maintenance man. The guy Terry at the front desk took down the wrong issue. Our bathroom floor was flooded with water each time we showered. It was dangerous and you can tell from the warped door and mold that this had hadnt b4. Needless to say, Troy, the maintenance guy came and ran the water after pushing the tracking piece back onto the shower door and assured us it was fixed. A hour later another huge puddle of water. I am calling corporate and sending an email with more detail. They didnt move us, we felt uncomfortable with this man in our room and we hadnt been able to shower or get dressed. And the mold that was in the bathroom was disgusting. The television also barely worked.

Camera pulita e comoda ! Per visitare sei un po distante a piedi ma in auto 5:6 minuti dal centro

Cons:

Pros:

The location was good and everything was about as I would want.

Cons:

Don't care for paying extra to park. That is unnecessary and should have been included in the price of the room.
Also, I would have preferred a real door on the bathroom. Locking a bathroom door should be expected.

Decent Hotel
Pros:

This is a decent hotel, although some areas need some upgrades from standard wear and tear. Parking is very limited, but they cover the cost of parking in the overflow garage next door. Good location to Charleston attractions, such as the RiverDogs Ballpark.

Pros:

Great lobby. Breakfast. Coffee was good too. Nice beds.

Cons:

We were told that we could swim till 10. But then it was 9 and then it was closed. Guess it had rained. But the front desk gal didn't know

The best and not so great
Pros:

The hotel was clean. Room was OK. Nothing spectacular but sufficient. The breakfast was fine. However, the location was not up to my expectations. I had to use Uber all the time to get anywhere. The location is not really within walking distance of downtown that was my biggest problemand I believe that’s the hotel‘s biggest problem is the location.

Customer service is nonexistant. They don't care.
Pros:

No customer service provided by front desk. We were welcomed by a front desk clerk with the warmth and friendliness of a porcupine. No information provided as to where to access the pool, fitness room, etc. If you dont ask specifically, you won't be told. Also no directories posted at the property to give you an idea where to access. We stopped and ask the other staff who were friendly and helpful.

Later that night we realized we had no body wash. The bottle was obviously empty. My husband washed w shampoo. (My sister in law was staying on another floor and she too had no body wash and had to wash w shampoo😐. ) I contacted the front desk the next morning and asked that some be provided. I was told " housekeeping isn't here; they dont come in until 10". After spending the entire day at MUSC and looking forward to a nice hot shower, we come back to the room but again no body wash. The bottle was as empty as it was the prior day at check in. I called the front desk again. Their reply: " housekeeping is gone for the day. I can give you a bar of soap."

The attitudes are the worst. They just don't care.

The hotel was under minor renovation. The drywall contractors were friendly and did their best to keep the dust down.

Also, do not stay here if you think you can walk to MUSC from here. MUSC is on the other side of the 4 lane highway, and several blocks away. Too dangerous to attempt due to heavy constant traffic on Spring St.

The room was decent and the hotel was located in a prime area.
Pros:

I like the location of the hotel

Cons:

I didn’t appreciate the front end staff not trying to be helpful as I was trying to get an invoice to document my stay. It also was difficult trying to communicate with the housekeepers who didn’t speak English

Pros:

Near family for travel without being directly downtown.

Cons:

Bathroom facilities were out of order early in the morning and had to relocate to another room.
It wasn't the worst but totally unexpected. Better communication between facilities and the front desk is definitely needed.

Amazing Stay
Pros:

Exceptional service, quality & comfort. Especially for the price. Can’t beat it!

My flight arrived early and the desk attendant, Bri, was able to check me in super early and get my room ready!! That was fantastic! Thank you.
