Unfortunately, our stay at the Crowne Plaza was pretty disappointing when it came to the actual room. I do want to say that the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was very nice. The common areas and overall appearance of the property were great. However, the room itself had several issues that really affected our stay:

1. Air conditioning barely worked – The AC would only drop the temperature about one degree after running for at least three hours. It was very difficult to get the room to a comfortable temperature.
2. No coffee maker – The room had K-Cups available, but there was no coffee maker to actually use them. We had to contact the hotel and specifically request a coffee maker for the room.
3. Shower leaked badly – After taking a shower, the entire bathroom floor was covered in water. This happened every time we showered and created a mess and a slipping hazard.
4. Uncomfortable bed and pillows – The bed and pillows were not very comfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
5. Not enough towels – We were only provided three towels total. We had to contact the hotel and request additional towels.

Overall, the staff was great and the hotel itself was nice, but the actual room was a major disappointment. There were simply too many issues for us to feel like we had a comfortable stay. For a Crowne Plaza, we expected the room to be much better maintained and equipped.

Based on our experience with the room, I would not recommend staying here, despite the friendly staff and nice appearance of the hotel.

The staff is very accommodating and friendly, quite attentive and eager to assist. The facility could not be more pristine and well kept, especially for the very reasonable price. I was much closer to midtown than I thought I'd be which was an incredible help as I was visiting my daughter at GT. Will absolutely stay at this facility from this trip forward in my frequent trips to the area. I've had a couple of instances in other areas where the hotel and reviews gave one impression with reality providing a significant disappointment to the degree that I've nearly canceled trips. That to say I was so incredibly pleased to have my expectations not just met but exceeded greatly in every measurable way. The restaurant and pastry shop are high priced, but honestly it's to be expected and everything is nowadays anyhow. That said, we did grab biscuits and pastries one morning that were delicious and we were served by a delightful young lady. Could not recommend this hotel more highly, looking forward to many more trips with the peace of mind in knowing my hard earned dollars will be well spent. Apologies that I'm terrible with names, but Emily went above and beyond in many ways to make our stay more comfortable, Dante did the same with checkout, and Keely was very kind and cordial in my interaction with her. All the staff was fantastic, regardless of position. Everyone was friendly and appeared to genuinely be doing their best to provide the greatest level of service. Many thanks to all the staff who provide such a clean, welcoming, friendly environment. My South Georgia heart was pleased to see such a lovely display of Southern hospitality even in the "big city".
