Weekend getaway
Pros:

Location is excellent, pillows are terrible, morning staff looks like they were irritated. Keep in mind they have 2 hotels in one location, so they rates for same room can be different.

So worth it stay !
Pros:

Came in on a business trip. Had some equipment shipped to the hotel , they were great at making everything happen smoothly for me The front desk help was amazing!! Every one including the valet team brought their game to make my stay pleasant. Room was just right and comfortable and clean. Location is perfect for River Walk A total great experience. Thank you team !

Even the Valet can make the difference
Pros:

For someone that travels frequently it’s the little things that make the difference. I run into Liz at the valet, what a great briefly experience! She is extremely upbeat and so cordial. Spoke to me as if we’d been friends forever. Seems small, but at the end of a long day those little things can be the “pick me up” needed. Thank you Liz!

Had a great stay
Pros:

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location for exploring the River Walk. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to San Antonio.

Pros:

Ahja at the front desk was absolutely amazing. Ahja did everything from answering my call about parking before we came, in specific details, to making sure our three rooms were perfect. She accommodated us with connecting rooms for my elderly mother and made sure she had the quietest shaded view of the riverwalk, somewhere we had been going to for years with many generations. My mom can’t do all the things but wants to be included and watch the fun when she can! Ahja made sure to check in on us. I promise this hotel is better than many very expensive ones on the riverwalk. The location is perfect. Has an elevator to get you on river level and a way to get you over the river and where the restaurants are with no steps! Pool was great. But to be honest it was Ahja that made the trip so fun. She really went out of her way to be helpful. It was our daughter’s dental school graduation and a VRBO had cancelled us last minute. We are so glad they did that to us now. We found a gem of a hotel and staff member. We will be back!❤️

The atmosphere
Pros:

I have visited a number of the sister hotels but here the vibe was certainly worth a review. From front desk team to room service was excellent but especially breakfast. Genesis took care of it all in my opinion she was excellent help and with a smile. Also no waiting forever on an elevator.

Great place with a couple of buts…
Pros:

The room was very large, clean, and comfortable. The service was very good- front desk, housekeeping, valet, breakfast room. The breakfast is typical for a Hampton. The only bad spots were that the breakfast room tables were not wiped down regularly and the tables near the windows have ants. Other than that and getting a mouth full of coffee grounds on my last swig of coffee, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great value for money
Pros:

The rooms were clean and spacious - breakfast offered everything basic that you could need and want.

Cons:

Some of the corridors had a very yucky smell, I guess due to humidity - and our aircon was outdated, it was a very loud, older model and it was either getting hot or freezing, it rarely held the temperature.
