Our stay at Lausanne Palace exceeded every expectation and was truly one of the finest hotel experiences we have ever had. From the moment we arrived until the day we departed, every member of the staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality.

A very special thank you goes to Hedi at the front desk and the manager on duty during our check-in. We were celebrating two very special occasions—our wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday—and they went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Their thoughtful recognition of our celebrations, genuine kindness, and meticulous attention to detail made us feel incredibly welcomed and valued. Their level of customer service was truly world-class and set the tone for an extraordinary stay.

Our room was absolutely beautiful, with luxurious furnishings, impeccable cleanliness, and every amenity one could ask for. The private balcony overlooking the city was breathtaking and became one of our favorite places to relax while taking in the spectacular views of Lausanne and Lake Geneva. It was the perfect setting to celebrate such meaningful milestones.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding and among the best we have experienced. The selection was extensive, featuring exceptional local Swiss specialties alongside a wide variety of fresh breads, cheeses, pastries, fruits, hot dishes, and made-to-order options. Every item was of the highest quality. The breakfast staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to ensure every guest had a wonderful dining experience, making each morning a pleasure.

The hotel’s location is another major highlight. It is perfectly situated within easy walking distance of Lausanne’s attractions, shopping, restaurants, and public transportation, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city while returning to the comfort and elegance of the hotel.

Lausanne Palace delivers everything you could hope for in a luxury hotel: elegant accommodations, outstanding amenities, exceptional dining, and, most importantly, an extraordinary team that truly cares about its guests. The professionalism, attention to detail, and heartfelt hospitality we experienced made this stay unforgettable.

Well located near the metro and in a quieter part of town, yet with expansive lake views. Beds were extremely comfortable—with all the heavenly pillows I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Room darkening blinds and shades were excellent. Very cool in the room thanks to A/C in the middle of a heatwave. The breakfast was a wonderful experience, huge selection and high quality with wonderful service from Lucia. Check in from Emma was great—she was warm and authentic, a huge asset to the hotel. Wilson on the bell desk was professional, helpful, and ultra competent. The only thing that lets it down is the brasserie restaurant. Staff were wonderful but food was extremely average, if that. Steaks were a complete letdown, tartare was sparse and not seasoned enough. Eat elsewhere, but enjoy the incredible hotel.

We’ve been to Lausanne many times and stayed in hotels at various price points over the years, but the Lausanne Palace is our favorite. At this point, we would not stay anywhere else.

The Lausanne Palace is wonderfully situated in heart of Lausanne near shopping, restaurants, the Old Town, sites, etc. but if you get a room with a balcony (highly recommended), you can still enjoy the wonderful lake/mountain views that Lausanne is known for. We’ve stayed in Ouchy and while it’s lovely to stroll along the lake, it’s quite touristy and you need to take the metro to get to the train station or shopping district. We prefer to be closer to the action where we can easily walk everywhere.

Our room was huge (we were upgraded without asking), had an expansive balcony, double sinks in the bathroom, and two showers – a stall shower and a shower/tub combo. Most important, it was the only hotel of the 5 hotels we stayed in on this trip that had “American level” air conditioning! What a delight during the latest heat wave.

We found the staff to be welcoming and professional. The hotel has an old-world elegance feel without being snooty. If you have a car, valet parking is available at 40 CHF/day and couldn’t be more convenient. The spa facilities were immaculate and the sauna and steam room were nice and hot – as they should be.

We enjoyed breakfast each day on the lovely landscaped terrace with a view of the mountains. The buffet breakfast was well stocked with a large enough selection of options (including GF bread) so you certainly won’t go hungry. Our only suggestion regarding breakfast: while we appreciated having coffee served by the wait staff, we would have liked to have had a self-serve station as well so we could quickly grab a refill.

Overall, the Lausanne Palace makes for a comfortable, convenient stay and it is our #1 choice when we visit Lausanne.

Our room was beautiful, with beautiful views and a lovely terrace that quickly became our favorite spot to unwind and take in the beauty of Lausanne.

Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. The quality and variety were outstanding, but what made it truly special was the incredible team. Every morning, we were greeted with genuine smiles, kindness, and great service. A thank you to Lea, Rose, Jocelyn, Luis, Lucia, and Alexandra. Your care, attention, and warmth made each day brighter and our stay even more memorable.
