Pros:

The rooms were spacious for a family of 5 and the location was ok for a car journey into Monterey. Some shops nearby.

Cons:

Rooms were dark, facilities were not available, such as the pool or balcony.
Unable to open balcony door as partially blocked which made the room dark.
No air conditioning and room was very warm
A lot of noise from neighbouring washrooms throughout the night.
Lights didn't work properly and would switch off intermittently.
Fridge in room smelt strongly of fish..

We were only there for 2 nights and spent most of the day out sightseeing, so I guess the room was fairly adequate for what we needed. Definitely not a room to spend a great deal of time in.

这个民宿位置挺方便的，门口的加油站很便宜。但是隔音太差了，从早到晚都有不同人群发出的声音，感觉他们就在你的房间，除非你是一个早上7点就起床的人，不然都会觉得没休息好。

Not a very pleasant experience and definitely not what we were expecting.
Pros:

The bed was not bad. The room did have a mini fridge and microwave. That is about the only things that were half decent.

Cons:

The rooms dont have air conditioning so they put a box fan in the closet for people to use. The grounds were messy with trash and leaves all over the place. There was hair on the bathroom floor and no lighting around the mirror in the room.

Decent place for a reasonable price. Good choice if traveling on a budget.
Pros:

Decent rooms for a reasonable price. Convenient location near a few stores and restaurants, and it’s near the highway 1 entrance. The single king bed room was spacious enough for two and had a nice kitchenette. The staff was nice and welcoming.

Cons:

The door didn’t fully close shut so a little bit of light came through the crack. The door still locked and it didn’t feel like it was open, but you could see the light outside a little bit through the door edge. The bathroom had a few water stains around the toilet but overall clean.

It was perfect and welcoming for the overnight stay.
Pros:

Very quiet, great neighborhood, outstanding customer service.

Cons:

The door didn’t lock automatically as soon as we stepped out to leave. We had to mess with it to lock it.

Ghetto stay poor handling of mishaps.
Pros:

The location was great. Close to town, many things within walking distance.

Cons:

As I was putting our things away, I opened the side table drawer next to the bed and found what could only be described as a bag of drugs. I quickly and carefully took the bag as it was sitting literally next to where my 10 year old son was sitting, took the bag to the front office. I informed her where I found it. I was told she would let the manager know. I expected some sort of offer to be moved to a different room but none of that was offered. Later that evening the family directly above us had more than 4 people in it. 2 included small children that clearly had lots of energy. They proceeded to run back and forth until almost midnight. We tried to use the deadbolt to lock our door but the latch wasn’t securing properly. It was later discovered that the door frame had been dug out and a plastic spoon had been broke off to prevent the door latch to properly lock. Again I took said spoon to the office and explained to her what happened and also mentioned that the neighbors above us were loud. She again informed me that she would tell the manager and have a talk with that room. None of it in my opinion happened. The kids continued to run around late into the night and promptly in the morning. I emailed them through their website hoping for some sort of compensation for such a poor stay and have not received any contact back. That is poor business and unacceptable. She should have offered a change of room or even a refund. It was our first time in Monterey as well as there. I’ll return to Monterey but I will never go back there.

Im greatful for the room and the accommodations it did have and we enjoyed it for a short stay.
