We initially had a problem with a room, but they moved us to another one The next room was the same level but not as large as the first, so they then moved us again, since we weren't happy, to an upgraded room. The people helping us were definitely wanting to make us happy. We enjoyed the bar/lounge and had a couple meals there. It was low-key and the food was good. It's a little away from the main action of DC but a peaceful place to walk, and we walked into Adams Morgan for dinner and down to Kalorama--as well as through Woodley Park. We walked to the National Cathedral from the hotel. It seemed a nice place to bring children as they have several activities for them.
While everything was very well-maintained, the bathrooms are a little old-school.

The lovely front desk was able to upgrade my room to a suite because it was only me and because I had a short stay. It was excellent and so comfortable.
I was confused why I had to sign up for free wifi. It's also quite expensive.
Location
Bathroom with rust in the vent. Mold in the grout of the shower. The entrance to the hotel was grand but the rooms were old and small. I expected a more comfortable room for the price I paid.
Breakfast was very good.
The only issue was that my husband ordered a hamburger and only had a cheeseburger. They took it back and flipped the burger over, and it still had cheese on it, which my husband could not eat. Not a way to do it. They did remove the charge.

We had a wonderful visit and would book at the Omni Shoreham again. The breakfast was varied and copious, the room was just right, the staff ever helpful and the location perfect for us. Thank you.

Stayed at the Omni Shoreham Hotel over Easter weekend and overall had a marvelous experience. Most of the staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive, which really made our stay better . The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the heated pool was a highlight, perfect for relaxing and having fun.
The only downside was the pool area, where there were bees swarming around, which made it a little uncomfortable at times.
Unfortunately, our check-in experience was not great. The host who checked us in, Michael, was very sarcastic and came across as dismissive. Every time my spouse or I asked a question, he would interrupt us before we could finish speaking, often rolling his eyes. It felt rude and unprofessional, and the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable. I’m not sure what the issue was, but the experience was off putting and noticeably different from the rest of the staff.
Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful and most of the service was excellent, but the check-in experience could definitely be improved.
Location is great, gardens are very relaxing and hotel is very clean!
No complementary coffee in the lobby.
