Historical Hotel
Pros:

Restaurant staff friendly and helpful

Cons:

Moldy smell ,limited sop ,shampoo,etc and towels
Mechanical noise all night, rooms that are accessible are hidden by themselves

Complete place could use a total spruce up
Old phrase you have to spend money to make money

ants on the nightstand, desk, and the bed, unacceptable at all.
Cons:

Lots of ants on the nightstand next to the bed. ants on the desk, and on the bed! The night I stayed in I was exhausted and so sleepy and fell to sleep, the next morning when I woke up I found ants, even dead ants on the bed!

Definitely not pleased and won’t return.

We came to stay the night before an early morning procedure for my 5 year old daughter at UVA bc we live almost 3 hours away. We were in room 112 and told we couldn’t get to our room without going up a small set of stairs (we couldn’t bc I had loaded my young daughters and my things in her large wagon. We were told we should move our car around back and get in that way and use an elevator. We decided to walk all the way around the back instead of having to unpack, break down the wagon and reload it again but once we did get back there and went inside it was still impossible to get to our room from that entrance. So we walked back around the entire building again; broke down the wagon and I carried all of our things in by hand. My daughter was exhausted as it was a late check in and due to some of her health issues she experiences severe leg pain with too much activity.

Once in the room it was quite dirty. The carpet was not recently vacuumed at had debris throughout. The large bath tub in the room was in need of repair and the small bath tub had an obvious broken chunk out of it that was sub-standardly “repaired” previously. My daughter has to do a soak before bed to help relieve some of her leg pain so we had to use it anyway. The tv kept “glitching” and was unwatchable until I changed the channel and moved it back again over and over. I only snapped a photo of the tv glitching bc my daughter thought it was funny and asked me to.

Cons:

They refused to give the room booked because of having an in town idea. That's frustrating but I know some hotels are like that. The real issue is they refused to refund the nearly $500 for the room they never let us check in to.

A welcome comfortable place with good beds for sleeping.
Pros:

My sister and I (in our 70’s) traveled from North Carolina to Ohio, had driven a LONG time and were so happy to check in and get to sleep. Very comfy beds, nice blinds to darken the room. Very clean facility, lots of folks cleaning in the morning. Breakfast was adequate. Basically just need coffee. Waffles delicious.

Cons:

Breakfast but definitely adequate for my needs.
