Everything it was nasty the room was dirty with tissue stuck in the ceiling bathroom and on the wall by the window it wasn’t fresh and it was roaches in the tub in the middle of the night

Pros:

I liked the cleanliness of the entire room, including the bathroom. I really liked that the room included shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. Those are things I hate to bring with me on a trip, so I am so glad they were included during my stay. Free breakfast is always appreciated as well. It saves me money in the long run.

Cons:

I would have liked soap at the sink. I expected a small bar soap on the counter, but did not find one. I used the shower gel instead, which worked fine, but it meant reaching into the shower to grab it. Other than that, I had no issues. Even this one thing was not detrimental to my stay. I didn't mind.

Cons:

The guy at check in wasn't very friendly. Everything looked run down (walls had lots of paint missing). The elevator was small. I was pleasantly surprised when I got into my room. It was actually nice, with the exception of mold in the cracks of the tile in the shower. And they actually had hot(not just warm) water, unlike many other hotels.

Interesting beds, but still happy with our stay!
Pros:

We were able to get a free upgrade since the room I booked originally was being renovated. They even had a couch with a pullout bed, which was Perfect for our party.

We tend to stay here every year when we visit the Renaissance Faire and haven't had many problems over the years!

Cons:

The beds weren't the best quality; felt almost wavy like a water bed, or an air mattress. They were fine to sleep in, but difficult to sit upright in, or roll into a better position. I fell off the bed in the middle of the night 😅 I'm fine; I caught myself, but it scared me awake.

Since it was newly renovated, there were some odd things we found, they seemed understandable, but again, odd, like the one drawer on the wardrobe was missing a handle, and the edge of the carpet looked bleached?

The only other odd thing we noticed, but wasn't Really a problem... The wall left a strange chalky residue on fabric. We had leaned our bag and a sweatshirt against the wall, and when we went to grab them again, noticed the white film on them. Was fairly easy to brush off, but it didn't seem like that should have happened.

All in all, nothing drastic to really say we didn't enjoy our stay.

Travel and rest
Pros:

In my vagabond nature, I have no expectations when committing to lay my head to rest for a night. This hotel has made a unique impression on me by accommodating me in a fantastic, spacious room that was freshly renovated. That said, everything I needed was readily available within the confines of the room. Additionally, the availability of a complimentary breakfast (I did not take advantage of it) is great for budget travel. I did take advantage of the diner in the hotel lobby to satisfy my need for local diner food. The staff and the concierge were extremely helpful in assisting and directing me.


The town itself is sleepy, with no extra commotion experienced after 21:00, so I achieved the quiet rest I was looking for.


Thank you to everyone for a wonderful experience.

Cons:

I did not stay long enough to experience anything negative that would deter me from staying here again.

It was almost worth the savings for it was only $60 a night. Could not wait to get home and shower.

The location of the hotel was perfect for what I was doing in the town......

Its nice to see that they are trying to make things better by a remodel.

Didn't like the hotel overall could have been better.

Cons:

At check in staff didn't explain the complementary breakfast very well. I had to hear it from the rude employee in the dinning hall. Toast and a tub of butter on the counter and dry cereal and no Milk.....

Room was a hidden disaster. stains on bedding, bathroom unclean and stunk like mold.... Also I think you have bed bugs I got little bites on my ankle's during my visit.......
