Overpriced and dirty. Will not be back.
Pros:

Room was dirty and smelled like a mixture of mold and like someone had just taken a giant dump; washroom did not have a fan so we could not get rid of the smell; heater barely worked and would not heat room above 68F; bathtub had not been cleaned; bed had not had its duvet or comforter cleaned and was covered in other people’s hair; bathroom floor was dirty; outside hallway was dim and smelled like 50 year old carpet; whole property needs a massive overhaul and modernization, it seems management/owners paint over or ignore issues rather than having pride in the property. It wouldn’t surprise me if rooms could be rented by the hour.

Pros:

Security on the elevator. Wish front desk person went through a bit more security after just asking for my room number and reprogramming my card. Name check at least. I felt secure other than that. Room was clean but I didn't run fingers over ledges for dust. Any staff I came across were helpful.

Cons:

Building is old I'm aware of that. Looks a little battered around the edges. It was improved from my last stay . View from the mergrath looked better. No seats outside for people that smoked or just need to sit down. Elderly infirm individuals for examples. I guess they are not there to stop transient persons hanging out. My biggest annoyance was lack of good air extraction from the bathroom. No sign of a fan kicking in . After using facility after a bad meal. The smell was still in there fairly nasty after 45 mins. I guess a passive fan elsewhere but I saw no draw on the vent on the bathroom which I believe contributes to the nasty water stains on the ceiling and other fixtures in there as there is no mechanism to pull the steam out. I did report lack off air movement to front desk. Night shift guy just looked confused started babeling about something else.. I just left it there.

Don’t get the Lethbridge sandman hotels confused
Pros:

The Denny restaurant was in the building and had a great breakfast.

Cons:

Everything was tatered and worn. Elevator interior was beat up. Bathroom had been repaired or renovated poorly caulking was smeared and tiles were broken. Floor penny tile grout was dirty and some tiles were missing. Windows were dirty. The whole building was loke they let a 3 year old paint it making it appear shabby.
