We had a wonderful stay at Sandman Hotel Vernon. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing visit.
A special thank you to Manager Khaled A for making sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. He was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful, and his attention to detail and excellent customer service truly made a difference. It was great to experience such warm hospitality.

Nice staff, clean
Location would have been nicer closer to the beach
While it offers an affordable stay to people passing through, the location is not good, especially if you have to park in back where the train tracks run. Theft is rampant in this area (and in Vernon in general apparently), and our utility trailer was broken into with thousands of dollars of camping gear stolen overnight! Another woman we know had her car vandalized overnight just a few weeks prior, making her car undriveable. The hotel takes no responsibility and has signs posted outside saying so...but this hotel chain could certainly afford to put up some security cameras and signs alerting thieves they are being watched, as a deterrent!
Location, restaurant next door.
Air conditioning in 2 of the 3 rooms didn't work. After a quick check of the AC filter, it appeared to not have been cleaned in a very long time. Even the AC in the hallways were not on. ( it was extremely warm that day).

Staff were welcoming, kind, informative and helpful. Room was mostly very clean (not the bathroom tiles) with a renovated bathroom - done well in parts (see below). Room was very quiet which was much appreciated and bed linens and bath robes lovely !
Crazy A/C heater unit that could not be shut down. It's old, and incredibly noisy. Hard to program -- not user friendly. NEW ONES PLEASE. Pool is OK... but dark and dank. Needs upgrading. Standing lamp in room didn't work
TV is WAY too high to view well, from the awkward round sofa provided.... and that thing takes up too much usable space and is very heavy to shift. These need to be sold.... they are ridiculous.
Renovated bathrooms need someone to go in and clean up the messy grout and silicone finishing, and paint things properly. It's worth paying a solid tradesman to do this.... and install decent shower heads please.
*****The whole place should be properly renovated, imho, if it's to stay compatible in its strata of hotels. Corp/ Head Office need a heads up.
Very convenient
Reasonable price
We paid extra, through Bookings.com, for early check in, I called to confirm the night before our arrival, when we arrived the hotel had no record of my early check in or my confirmation. The lady at the front desk went above and beyond to get us a room and make good on what I thought we had paid for. Thank you Chaitali you saved the day.

Staff was very friendly and helpful
One of the beds had a stained blanket that we didnt notice until the morning since we got in late but the staff got us new bedding right away for the rest of our stay
