Everything from the staff to the accommodations to breakfast, pool, location, was above and beyond!
Close to the trolley cars.
Very comfortable.
Breakfast not the best. Hard to get hot water.
The room was ok.
When I checked in on 4/8/26 I told the woman at the front desk I wanted to change my method of payment to a different card - the card I used for incidentals. She said that would be ok, but on 4/9/26 the entire amount for the room was charged to the wrong card. It was never corrected although I tried to get it corrected before I checked out on 4/13/26. The woman told me Booking.com would have to help me. To say I'm totally frustrated is an understatement.
Location close to trolley. Garden district lovely.
Loud, my room key accidentally opened someone else's door, dirty, set up like door with outside doorways, pool disgusting, breakfast gross
The pool and sitting areas were lovely and unique!
Not enough towels by pool. Tv was being repaired but took longer than they said.
Cute property and convenient to everything we needed
There was a girl screaming for help and security couldn’t find her. Also we only got one roll of toilet paper for the whole weekend
Loved the location…great proximity to uptown, downtown and the French Quarter. The staff were so nice and professional. Happy there was Security on the premises.
I wasn’t told about the breakfast at check-in. Found out about it too late.
Room capacity and comparatively good price. The seafood restaurant next to the hotel was amazing and we went dining every night.
The room is not that clean and we found dead cockroach at my room and building’s corridor during our stay…
Location and atmosphere
Elevator was broke in our building and stairwell was dark.
Lage
Frühstück war gut, aber die Dame war mehr mit ihrem Mobiltelefon beschäftigt als fehlende Dinge aufzufüllen
Love the vintage feel
Rooms are a bit small for a family
The staff was so friendly and allowed us to store our bags when we checked in a little early. The room was a great value for the money with a large, comfy bed and lots of space.
It was in a quiet area of town with access to streetcars
A little bit of noise from renovations
The breakfast staff were superb. Friendly, helpful, very attuned to needs. The breakfast was akin to fast food sausage and eggs but that is not their fault. Good pastries, coffee, and selection of fruits and juices.
The hot tub was very hot and so was the shower water, with plenty of pressure. The beds were clean and neat. The room not so much.
We stayed three days and in all of that time, never once had any housekeeping. We were left to fend for ourselves. I told the front desk that we felt invisible. Perhaps because the accessible room was tucked behind the hotel laundry door, making us have to close that door to access our room at all. It was a noisy area and to be ignored completely all three days was adding insult to injury. I called the front desk the third day to ask why we had no service from housekeeping and she did not know why. She said I could talk to the manager the following day. That did us not good as we were checking out then. We had to go into the laundry room to get towels ourselves and the lady there actually came and emptied our garbages-hardly her job. We went three days with no service. It seemed deliberate as I had made a point of personally requesting housekeeping the third day myself as we left for the day. When we came back, dirty room, no towels, cups, etc… We were on our own. What are we paying for if not service?
I have a torn mcl in my knee and had a hard time climbing into and out of the tub. Most accessible rooms where we have stayed have a roll in shower. The floor of the tub and the bathroom were extremely slippery-again, not ADA in my opinion. The bed was about 40” from the ground and I had to request a step stool to get into it. Again, not ADA.
bed was comfortable but high, It was in a good location and coffee in reception was good
Lift didn't work throughout our stay meaning we had to haul our suitcases up and down 6 flights of stairs, with no help from anyone. Not enough lighting in room, one of the sockets with lights didn't work. The reception staff weren't very friendly seemed to be swearing a lot when I was getting a coffee. They were also on their phones a lot and when asking questions of them it was almost like they had no time & it seemed an effort to help. The breakfast was okay on 1st morning but after that it didn't meet expectations. The pastries & cakes were half raw inside. The fried eggs were over cooked. Staff on phones, we had to ask for coffee to be filled, cups or cutlery, tables weren't wiped down. We didn't think it was good value for what we were charged. No kettle or coffee machine in the room, which would have been a bonus.
I booked a two-night stay from April 6 to April 8, 2026, and checked in around 2:30 AM on April 6. This trip was already under very difficult circumstances, as my aunt had just passed away and her service was on April 4. My husband and I came to New Orleans hoping to clear our minds.
Unfortunately, on the morning of April 7, I received news that another aunt had passed away, and we had to immediately return to Dallas. I contacted the front desk to explain the situation and request a refund for the unused night. I was told that only a manager could make that decision, and no manager was available at the time. I was given email addresses and advised to follow up.
I checked out at 11 AM on April 7 and made several attempts to reach management by email. After multiple efforts, I finally received a call back from the manager. I explained my situation in full, including the back-to-back family losses and sudden need to leave. Despite this, the manager refused to issue any refund for the night I did not stay.
Given the circumstances, I found the response to be extremely disappointing and lacking empathy. A situation involving multiple family deaths was met with inflexibility and no willingness to accommodate even a partial refund. This experience left me feeling that customer care and compassion were not a priority.
