Very Disappointing and Uncomfortable Environment

This Howard Johnson in Sacramento was extremely disappointing. There were numerous homeless individuals congregating around the neighboring property and the ARCO gas station across the street, with people constantly wandering on and off the hotel grounds. The excessive loitering and foot traffic made the area feel unsafe and uncomfortable. Paying guests should not have to worry about their safety just walking to and from their rooms. Management needs to take security seriously. I would not recommend staying at this location.

Disappointing
Pros:

. Staff was really nice though and the parking was adequate.

Cons:

The bed was uncomfortable. The bathtub was dirty with other people hair in it. The ac unit is on auto so when it kicks off, you're hot. It was loud

Lazy front desk lady in the morning

Cons:

We decided to go for a swim me and my 3 small children (under 6) we walked up to the front desk and they refused to give us towels and said they would send them to the pool. So we go swim and never honor towels my poor children were so freezing cold, I called the desk twice and still never got towels. They let my toddler children shiver and shake and freeze with no towels because of how lazy the front desk lady was. Morning shift Mexican lady, a simple towel would go a long way. Never going back

The first round was not clean at bad smell. You know the second room we got did not have hot water and had police in the area. Because people was routed. Smell in a room could be better. We need to tell

Decent okay for the price
Pros:

Fairly close to uc Davis. Clean bed. Wasn't loud

Cons:

Had to pay 5 a night for net never been to a hotel that charged for net not sure if it is common in sac. Homeless population was around but they minded themselves just remember to lock all doors I have small kids

Worst overnight stay EVER!!!!!
Pros:

The price for a night.

Cons:

The rude worker Saim. The smoke filled air, the torn shower curtain, the stained sheets, the broken table leg, the lack of drainage in the shower and sink, not to mention my car almost got towed as I put the slip in my window and accurately provided in detail my make, model, color and plate number on my rental paperwork. Then rude behavior persisted! Worst stay ever!

It wasn't a vacation, I had to find a place for the night and my granddaughter choose this one.
Pros:

The rooms were very clean and in working order. The property was well kept up, looks new. The parkimg lot was well lite and clean as well, came in after 10 the night person was very nice and ask how our trip was going, and yes I told him..lol

Cons:

The people and the security guard he was number one. He interacted with my 5 year old grandson. We lost our ticket to the breakfast and the young man at the front desk gav us another one. He did ask for id and room number which I understand and was very happy to give him.

Comfortable and safe, could have been cleaner
Pros:

The beds and pillows were comfy, the air was easy to control, I could stream on the tv,breakfast was pretty good, the property was well lit with security and the bath products in the room were lovely

Cons:

I put my baby on the floor ,expecting it to have been swept and mopped and it turned out it was absolutely filthy, ruined his brand new pajamas. Then the shower wouldn’t find a middle ground, it was either super hot or super cold but it had good pressure and was clean

Was there for 4 nights not one housekeeper came by for towels or check if we needed anything I know in some hotels its up on request for some certain days but 4 days is just wasn’t sitting right when I’m coming from San Diego .Thank you

That it smell like smoke, bad customer service.. my kids had a asthma attack a soon we walking the room. We were even able to stay. They never refunded my money… the manager can never answer…

Great stay
Pros:

Location super convenient to Aftershock Festival, price was great and security always around

Cons:

Could change up the breakfast since it was same everyday and had to go get my key card reactivated 3 times during my stay.
