Great for family vacation during winter. Highly recommended.
Pros:

1) The white powdery snow
2) The deer feeding - the kids love it
3) Spacious room with comfy beds
4) Beautiful view from the room
5) Helpful staff - our host goes by wechat name of "Little Sun". He helps us arrange all the local taxis to take us to places like water rafting, snow mobile, and also recommended a good local restaurant for dinner. Good food at reasonable price.
6) Ski for beginners are included in our room
7) Good buffet dinner at night

Cons:

No heated seat for the toilet during winter.
Low water pressure for the shower.
No western bar or cafe at night for guests to chill.

Pros:

The two deer.

Cons:

The opening hours of the pool (9-21) prevent swimming in the morning; ordering room service is a nightmare because NOBODY speaks English; the location is very isolated; there are no walking routes; the lounge was closed. Except in the rooms, there was no heating anywhere.

Overall an enjoyable and refreshing experience.
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff, location (including distance & ease of access to nearby town center for greater selection of local food & shopping); my son loved the roaming deer & opportunity to feed & play with them

Cons:

Breakfast: selection and quality of food a little disappointing. Hotel swimming pool: maintenance and cleaning could be better.

Pros:

장백산 못지 않게 좋았던 호텔입니다. 체크인할때 직원분이 너무 친절하게 해줬고 설명도 잘해줬습니다. 배정받은 방도 너무 좋았어요. 바깥공원도 좋아보였는데, 출입구 찾기가 어려웠어요. 조식은 그런데로 괜찮았어요. 그 외 식당은 기대보단 별로였습니다. 전체적으로 괜찮았던 호텔입니다.

가족과 함께 하기 좋은 호텔입니다
깨끗하고 서비스 좋고 넓고 편한합니다.
백두산 서파로 이동하기에도 가까운 거리에 위치하고 있어 좋습니다. 호텔주변 산책로와 당구 탁구 실내수영장 시설도 잘 되어있고 좋네요
사슴도 있어서 아이들이 좋아하네요

Great Modern Hotel
Pros:

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The complex is new which really helps and I got a nice upgrade and the room was of a very high standard. The staff were very nice. As a foreigner the menu of food was very very limited and speaking English it was a challenge. However this is forgiven. A special mention Ms Li Xiaoyu who was very helpful and arranged my activities and and really took care of me during the visit!
