The staff was nice!
The hot tub was colder than the pool, the ac didn’t work in the room, and they had to bring me a new fridge.

I flew into Houston for a business conference. Service was great as usual at most Marriott properties. I especially appreciated being able to rent double monitors at the front desk, which took my productivity to the next level. The Starbucks downstairs was also a great add-on. I will definitely return to this hotel.
Concierge room
Blood on my sheets. Mold in bathroom. Loud construction. Regular cable doesn’t work. Construction workers lounging in pool area and staring/cat calling at pool. Check in was not smooth- tried to charge me ~$680 again when I had already prepaid. Cursed and blamed system in front of me- didn’t give me my meal vouchers which made the following morning at breakfast rocky. Mini fridge was never turned on and when I put my $90 leftover food from the hotel restaurant in the fridge it spoiled overnight. I purposefully got two dishes so I could simply run upstairs after my pool day the next day and not have to get ready for dinner/be presentable. When I told them what happened they sent an engineer up. The engineer pulled the whole fridge out of the cabinet- flipped it upside down and determined it was manually turned off. Never seen a mini fridge like this before. There were no settings or switches on the inside where you could turn it off/on or adjust temperature. My boyfriend was the one who placed the leftovers in the fridge and said he put them in there and simply closed it shut and didn’t think it was off but really didn’t pay attention. There was no sign of the fridge defrosting- seemed to never be on. They did not compensate and blamed me for turning it off. They tried to offer me a breakfast voucher and I told them I already paid for three days of breakfast when booking. Refused to do anything else. The first girl I spoke to laughed on the phone and told me my food was still fine to eat. I asked her if she was dense and she had me speak with the manager. The manager was no help at all and stopped talking to me and refused to take anymore of my calls. Mind you I was visiting from Hawaii and was seeking shelter after the recent dam collapse and extreme flooding. Lost everything in my home and was trying to make plans on what to do. This was not a relaxing stay at all. I’ve worked in the hospitality/hotel/spa industry for 5+ years now and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Will never come back. Kitchen and bar staff was good… that’s it.
The Room is big and clean. The service from Cannie is really amazing. She greets from the first day and take care until our last day. Thumbs up Cammie! You made our stays a great experience. One star minus is due the service in the restaurant.
Hotel room was comfortable, beds, pillows and sheets good. Clean bathroom and regular amenities. Elevators were fast and easy using. Conference rooms and food were very good. Service of all employees, from reception to waiters, doormen were excellent and I congratulate them for their service
