The construction workers start their shift at 7 AM, and it was quite the wake-up call! The building is quite noisy with all the construction going on.
The elevator does not work and has been out a while, so if you cannot climb stairs, it’s not a good idea.
Also the booking website ask if you would like a smoking room non-smoking or no preference. I checked non-smoking and cannot be in a smoking room because of my asthma, but it automatically set you to a smoking room.
The Front Desk Staff are very personable. Both Morning and Evening
Good place to stay
Staff
Good value for the money. The property is dated. Very basic place to spend the night. Coffee and bagel in the morning were appreciated.
La ubicacion
El microondas estaba completamente asqueroso, y la nevera estaba lleno de cervezas y comida congelada, el techo era un desastre, muy viejo con fuerte olor a humedad
We booked a 1st floor room as we are 70yrs old with disabilities. We were given a 3rd floor room. I declined and was given a 2nd floor. we checked in at 6P went to dinner and returned at 10P.. The elevators did not work. There were several people loitering in the parking lot. I am a retired police officer, and it made me uncomfortable and my wife was very nervous. We got into the room at 10:05p. My car alarm went off at 10:18P. I went out, turned it off and took a look around, still several people hanging out. Went back inside and the alarm went off again at 10:35P. I went out again, shut it off and went back inside. The bathroom was moldy and missing towels. There was no coffee pot. My wife did not want to stay at this point. I loaded up the car and we left at 10:42P. We paid $181.00 for a 42-minute unsatisfactory stay. We would not stay with Wyndham/Days Inn ever again and would not recommend them. Booking.com should evaluate and inspect or at least know the property prior to listing it on their website. I would be hesitant to book through them again due to this property.

Terrible, horrible, scammers, very bad service
I booked room 220, but the key they gave me never opened the door. Then they changed our room to 228, which was even worse because the smell was unbearable, a terrible odor. The room was in very bad condition, the sheets were covered in bloodstains and had a lot of cigarette burns. We asked the receptionist to cancel our reservation and give us a refund, but she treated us very badly and refused to give us anything back, even though we were canceling because of the poor condition of the room. The photos this hotel posts on its website are not the same as the rooms themselves. If you don't want to have a bad experience or lose your money, don't book at this hotel. And if you do want to lose your money, go and see for yourselves. I wasn't the only one who had this problem; while I was at reception complaining, other people arrived with the same complaints.
Run like you are being chased. When I booked the room directly off the website (239) exchange IS Fort Myers, I asked if I was speaking with the front desk on site. Anthony replied "yes". I said good because I don’t want to book through a third party. When I got to the desk I inquired why I was charged up front for both nights, and the clerk, Pria, said because I booked through a 3rd party. I said I had not and she said your card charge will reflect the 3rd party. The charge was through Wyndham/Days Inn on my account. I showed her on my bank register, and she said that was not possible, but she would check into it and call me. The room had no phone which I felt I needed because the back of the hotel felt seedy. For my safety, Nick and the maintenance man brought the phone. Nick said he would check the phone in two hours-no call. I showed Nick the mold in the bathroom, and he waved it off, “it is stained.” Once they left, I started noticing other things in addition to a great deal of mold in the tub: peeling ceiling in the bathroom, dirty tiles, some kind of dead thing or bodily fluid smudged on the wall above the fridge, missing tissue box, unfinished paint, dead bugs in the ceiling light fixture, and the piece de resistance: a nastily uncleaned coffee pot.
I was afraid to leave as it was dark. When I woke the next morning, my nose was closed, and my head was full of a substance that, once I blew it out, jumped off my personally brought in tissue and did a free-flowing dance for me on the cigarette burned countertop. When I blew it clear, the result was a slimy, dark yellow sticky substance my body must have produced so I would not breath the air. Clearly, my body did not want me breathing in this room. I left that morning and called Nick to inform him I would not be returning. Pria never followed up on the mysterious Wyndham (3rd party charge). The charge for the room in addition to room charges includes $98.00 that is not itemized. I did not return to the hotel. Incredibly, my nasal passages cleared up, and the free-flowing, decaying, organic matter is in my rear-view mirror. The entire incident is being ignored by the mysterious 3rd party. I can’t get them to answer an email. Wyndham isn’t reimbursing me-It took a lot to even get in touch with their corporate offices.
