Gillham Vineyard Hotel - Adults Only

An oasis of calm and beauty in northern Cyprus. The rooms are very comfortable and the food excellent. The location is ideal for escaping the summer heat and offers lovely views over the vineyard. So much thought has gone into the design and landscaping, while maintaining the simplicity of the local traditions, it was most welcoming and appealing, compared to the monstrous development on the coast.
There are two choices of where to eat, with different menus, and both offering the superior and delicious wine made from their own grapes. The staff were attentive and efficient ensuring our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable.
The whole site is beautifully laid out with a carefully planted garden and enticing pool area. It was the perfect base from which to explore the rest of the country.
A great find and well worth the drive up the hill to find it.

Just returned from a weeks stay at this wonderful hotel. We stayed in the Rose Room with beautiful views. The room was lovely, nice furniture, comfy bed and great bathroom.

The staff are fantastic, all of them, an absolute credit to the place. Friendly, helpful but not overbearing.

Breakfast was great and we enjoyed a couple of evenings at the wine bar.

Perfect place to relax and unwind. We will be back.

We have stayed here 3 times now. Its always fantastic. Relaxed environment and beautiful food. All staff supper helpful. Rooms are always immaculate. I had a small problem with the booking this time and management correct it instantly. The perfect couples retreat!

This would be our third time at Gillham Vineyard Hotel. It is just magical!
This is ideal for couples who want peace and tranquillity with the most spectacular views high up in the mountains.
The breakfast and dinner is exceptional, our compliments to the chef! All the staff are so helpful and professional and genuinely care about your experience and will go above and beyond for you.
The vineyard tour and wine tasting is a real treat. We always treat ourselves to a bottle of red, white and rose. It's one of best wines we've had :)
There's entertainment in the wine bar at least once during the weekend. It's very carefully selected to suit the location and guests.
When you arrive, you really feel like you are home. You can kick back and relax and soak in the wonderful atmosphere and we just can't wait to come back again. Thank you everyone for making this a true gem in beautiful North Cyprus

Went to dinner at the main restaurant for a friends birthday celebration .
We are regular guests at the wine bar, for Jazz concerts and have eaten many times at the restaurant. Ok it was a Monday night, only two other tables were busy. The atmosphere is drab, no music. In the old days the manager would come round and talk to dining guests. That night we got the impression they were understaffed, even though only three tables had guests.
Two of us only had starters (Scallops and Chicken Liver) which were very good. One main course, the salmon was also good, but the lamb chops were overcooked and too salty, and the "dry aged" bon filet at 45€ was a disappointment: too small (not more than 100 grams), cut into small slices with a sauce (not on menu).
We will not come anymore for a "special" night, because it is no longer special. That's a shame - we used to love it here.

Very disappointed, used to be a favourite place to dine at the wine bar.
Food was cold, told the waiter, he said , “ I will let them know” we sat there for 10 mins , before , I beckoned the waiter , he said Yes, I’ve told them.
Surely you want to take the dish away? I said , yes he said .

The same food came back reheated, the fish was re-Fried . Fish and mash.
Was was more like fish goujons from a children’s party. Not what we have enjoyed previously.
Luckily the cats patrolling the tables enjoyed it .

We paid and left, unfortunately, this is how you lose regular custom.

Menu is still the same , you would think, the chef’s would change things around.
Add seasonal new dishes.
The prices have changed to Euro’s and more expensive now.

We don’t mind that so much, if the food was good.

My wife had the Chicken schnitzel , which was good, but the Caesar salad , was, well nothing like a Caesar salad, it tasted like it had lemon dressing , the Parmesan tasted like
a poor substitute , and no anchovies.
Sacrilege.

Love music was good, service can do better, food not so good.

This needs to be looked at, if you want customers to return.

This absolute Gem is nestled in the hills 15 minutes from Kyrenia. We stayed in The Rose villas overlooking the vineyards with views of the sea .
2 whole weeks of bliss - We have previously been for dinner which is an absolute must ! From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to have a wonderful stay . So looking forward to going back

Gillham Vineyard Hotel. It's one of those places when you just know...you know!
From the moment of arrival and the fountain before the entrance, opening the double doors to the lobby and the smiling reception staff. I knew!
On one level, I hate writing about places like this...because then it becomes soooo popular...but a jewel can't be hidden behind a bush. And Gillham Vineyard Hotel is certainly a jewel.
Super well-situated - obviously in a vineyard, there is so much space to walk around in and everywhere is green and gorgeous. Lots of space and views to the se and the hills.
Staff are super-friendly, personable and there's nothing too much trouble - you just want to pack them in your suitcase and bring them home.
The pool is an oasis of delight; with these four poster beds to hang out in and a mountain backdrop behind. The water is always the right temperature and not chlorinated.
The food is A-MAZING... they have a great chef who creates delicate but tasty dishes with quality ingredients...breakfast is a delight and the coffee is super. Sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the pool and the surrounding hills...it's very beautiful there.
The rooms are really big and airy. The pillows are really great as is the mattress.
We will be back!

On our last day here but this place is fabulous. The restaurant is excellent. The Rose rooms are a great blend of size, amenities and views. We were in Rose 18 and the view every morning is a delight. The spa is great. We found sitting down there during the morning was a great way to find some shade and we have had the plunge pool to ourselves everyday. A fabulous place to stay

20 mins from Girne. Worth hiring a car as lots of places to visit.

We had a fabulous couple of days at the vineyard. The rooms are lovely, particularly the newer rose rooms. The food is delicious, in both restaurants and we can recommend dining in both if you can. Eric gave us a very informative and fun wine tasting. But the very best thing about the place is the service. Truly exemplary from everyone - a real 5 star experience. So thanks to the staff for making our stay so special!

I have been to this beautiful hotel, Gillham Vineyard, on many occasions with family and friends for both lunch and dinner. In fact, it is a must whenever we are on holiday in North Cyprus from the UK.

However my trip this May 2025 was an entirely different reason. I hosted a wellness retreat for 5 nights, bringing my guests from the UK.

It was an amazing retreat and the hotel, managers and team did not disappoint. The service, accommodation, food, hotel and hospitality were incredibly outstanding.

The restaurant staff, hotel managers, reception and hospitality team have been familiar faces to me over the last few years. I have never seen them working without a smile and have always been willing to do as much as possible for their guests. The team of this hotel certainly contributed to the memorable experience.

I hope to be returning for my next retreat and guests.

A dreamy location in the North Cyprus mountains. The hotel reminds me a lot about Tuscany, so if you like Italy, you will love this hotel. Excellent food, wine, atmosphere, and service. I loved my suite and the big terrace, and will definitely come back.

We spent an amazing week at Gillham Vineyard and Hotel.
The super warm welcome from the reception team and their helpful, friendly manner throughout our stay will be remembered as a ‘first class’ example of hospitality.
This was also demonstrated by the restaurant staff, and the food was delicious.

We absolutely loved every moment of our stay here, from the stunning views, the immaculate, comfortable rooms and the warm, delectable food.

Our wine tasting guide Goli, was so professional and very informative. Her expertise gave us an insight into using different senses to appreciate wines and their unique qualities. This was a enriching experience !

The staff that welcomed us and looked after us during the evening meal were Mark, Francis, Valentino and James who, with their smiles, friendliness and professionalism really made our weekend more enjoyable and satisfying.

Thanks to Tia and Nana for decorating our room and making it pretty for us.

My wife and I travel often globally for pleasure and business.
We recently returned to Gilham Vineyards for our for our 10th stay in the past two years.
We brought friends along to celebrate our 30th anniversary and introduce them to this delightful hotel and the lovely staff there.
Since the property is recently under new management, we have been sensitive to any changes in quality or service.
I’am happy to say that the experience we have loved in the past from our previous stays at Gilham continues to be among the best in our many decades of travel around the world.
The new management along with Semi (who continues from previous management) demonstrates an obviously proactive commitment to maintaining and even improving on all world class aspects of our visits.
The staff; from Nana, Tia, Sophia and Daniel at the front desk, to the servers in the restaurants ( Francis, James, Mark, Pedro and Valentino led by Jessica and the head chef Aziz ) through Goli in the winery to the housekeepers have such personable, professional and friendly “can do” attitudes that we depend on them with total confidence to continue to make our visits so memorable.
The property location and layout add to the feeling of escape and romance at Gilham.

Absolutely top notch experience! To start with, the setting amidst a beautiful vineyard, with the sea within visible behind, is breathtaking. The grounds are beautiful, and are in immaculate condition. We had the “rose suite”, which had high, vaulted ceilings, beautiful furnishing, and modern, spotlessly clean bathroom. Little details enhance the already beautiful surroundings— like the “Gillham” branded towels and blanket.

The service is what makes this beautiful place even more special. Even before arrival, the team was so responsive in answering questions and arranging transportation, wine tastings, and spa bookings. On arrival, we were greeting with such warmth and smiles. Every single team member— from the front desk, spa, restaurant, winery, and management— they all treated us like long time friends & family. Truly a 5 Star, personalized touch!

Beautiful accommodation, stunning views, friendly staff but the best part of the experience was undoubtedly the food. The chef Aziz made some of the best dishes my family have had. He accommodated vegan members of the family with exceptional dishes that were not on the menu. Great experience all-round.

I spent my birthday weekend at the sparkling presidential suite and it was the absolute best experience ever. I did the winery tour, tasted couple of wines. The staffs were so lovely. They sent me a welcome letter and a wine with handmade cookies which tasted so delicious. The view from my room was so lovely and peaceful. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I will definitely come back. Thank you Gillham hotel for making my birthday special and a memorable one
