Pros:

The entire outside property was beautiful with multiple fire pits, pool and hot tub. It had a creek running through the back of it. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious.

Had to use stairs to get to the second floor.

The location is perfect. There is an on-going effort to improve/maintain facilities. Helpful staff.
Pros:

Nice outdoor areas including patio for breakfast. Great location.

Cons:

Not so much didn't like but there is construction/refurbishing on-going on site. Overall it's a good thing but you have to make some simple adjustments.
Also, had difficulty parking in the evening - some in our group wondered if locals might be taking some of the spaces due to easy access to main attractions.

Not What It Used To Be
Pros:

We have stayed at this hotel on and off for the past few years when we visit Fredericksburg. We like the proximity to downtown, which is mainly what keeps us coming back to this place. The attention to detail is only a fraction of what it used to be. Several years ago it would exceed our expectations, but not anymore. Had to go to front desk to request plastic laundry bags and tissues, etc. At checkout, they were confused with information they had on file for us.
