Great price for a great location
Pros:

Located right on Lake Huron with a great view from our balcony. Very reasonably priced. Didn't try the pool but it looked nice.

Graduation trip
Pros:

Not fancy but clean and everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Good shower, refrigerator, microwave, and tv all worked. Indoor pool area was inviting but I didn’t have time. Everyone was friendly.

Very disappointing stay
Pros:

We were very disappointed with our stay here. My husband booked 2 rooms for our family and both of them had maintenance issues. One of the rooms had a broken chair while the other room did not have a microwave. At the time of booking, we were informed that a 'Grab & Go' breakfast would be available. However, during our 2 day stay, breakfast was not available even once. We thought of using the pool, but it was extremely dirty and appeared as though it had not been cleaned for a long time. There were no signs indicating that the pool was closed or unsafe to use. Since the pool was so dirty, we decided to use the hot tub instead. After using it though, our clothing became discolored. We suspect there may have been excessive chemicals in the water, yet there were no warning signs or notices posted. Beyond the damage to our clothing, we were also concerned about the potential impact on our skin. Overall, the property appeared to be very poorly maintained and I wouldn't recommend staying there.

Quality Inn, not so quality
Pros:

We found urine in the corner behind the bathroom door. Dried pink substance (we assume was a cleaner) all over the bathtub. No pool as advertised, it was drained. And no continental breakfast. At check out, no one was present at the office, it was locked. A note on the door directed us off site to another hotel location.

Saved me $10 by parking my car at the hotel prior to taking the ferry

Male front office staff did not check me in, but help a man when he came in. By this time the female clerk was finishing up with a guest.
Thought this was rude to just let me stand there.

I would not recommend this hotel nor would I stay here again.
Pros:

The only reason we continued our stay at this location was due to the view - we were right on Lake Huron.

Cons:

We were told there was a pool/hot tub but they were both dirty so we did not use them and did not see anyone else use them during our stay either. We were also told they served breakfast but the lady at the front desk said they called it grab and go - we are used to the pancake/waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy, etc - so, this was definitely not what we expected either. Lastly, the carpet in the room and the shower were not very nice. It appeared they tried to update the rooms by putting pine wood on all of the walls but the shower curtain had mildew stains at the bottom, the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work and the carpet was old and needed replaced.

Do not stay here.

Nothing to like at all

Cons:

This place is extremely run down. They stopped having breakfast and had granola bars out because they are apparently closing down the hotel. The rooms smell a lot, probably mold imfested. Very hard to breathe. We actually checked right out and ate the cost of the room because the manager refused to refud/wave fees. Horrible customer service as well.

Will spend more for a better hotel next trip. Will not be back to this location

Cons:

Shower didn't work (only the tub for a bath did) and AC didn't work. No toilet paper holder, just toilet paper sitting on back of toilet. No wash clothes. Woke up covered in welted bites all over my arms, back and even on my face.

The room has a mold on the ceiling and some part of the carpet was wet. Also not so much clean. At first they didn’t do anything and after i spoke with the manager they give me a new room.

It was barely tolerable
Cons:

The room was damp, carpet was filthy and 50+ years old, everything was old and could only see TV from one of the beds, there were bugs in the room, bathroom and door between rooms barely closed due to humidity, staff was never at the desk, cars parked RIGHT in front of our room/door, wallpaper peeling off the walls
