The location was great and the breakfast was very good. One of the hotel staff came to meet us from our private taxi which was a nice touch as it meant we didn’t immediately get lost in narrow alleys!
The family room was a little disappointing but you’re paying for the location and it we were comfortable.

Very disappointing experience. I paid for my reservation in full and informed the hotel that my flight was arriving late. Despite this, the hotel still marked my booking as a no-show and cancelled it, which was extremely stressful after travelling.
When I finally arrived, instead of helping or offering a solution, the hotel staff charged me an extra €80 just to use the room briefly, even though the room had already been fully paid for. After a long journey I had no real choice but to pay.
This felt very unfair and opportunistic, especially for a guest who had already paid and communicated about the late arrival.
Hospitality should be about helping guests, especially when flights are delayed or travel issues occur. Unfortunately, the service here felt the opposite — no flexibility, no understanding, and extra charges at the worst possible moment.
Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. Travelers should be careful when booking here.
Great location on the canal, short walking distance from piazza San Marco with many attractions and cafe nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful decorated and the room was clean and spacious enough for 3 adults with the extra bed. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Die Lage. Das Zimmer war sauber.
Das Zimmer befand sich unweit neben dem Speisesaal bzw. der Küche im Basement. Es war dunkel und laut, die Möbel etwas abgenutzt (Stuhllehne kaputt) und insgesamt war das Zimmer sehr klein und nicht schön eingerichtet, sehr einfach- wirklich nicht 4* und für über 400 Euro für zwei Nächte nicht gerechtfertigt. Viele Touristen laufen direkt vor dem Fenster ebenerdig vorbei, so dass man immer den Vorhang zu haben müssend und die Aussicht (Stadtblick) beschränkt sich auf den Stromkasten vor dem Fenster mit der Tüte Hundekot daneben. Das Zimmer befindet sich eigentlich auf dem Gehweg (siehe Foto). Es glich eher etwas einem Gefängnis. Die Bilder auf Booking hatten nichts mit der Realität zu tun. Wir haben dann wieder ausgecheckt und gleich in der Nähe etwas wunderbares anderes gefunden (für den gleichen Preis). Es gibt sicher schönere Zimmer im Haus, wenn man die anderen Bewertungen liest.

Pas du tout une norme d'un 4 étoiles, il faut tout payer dans la chambre, l'eau, le café...
Aucun lieu dans l'hôtel, type bar, salon etc...
Très très cher comparativement à d'autres hôtels bien mieux et aussi bien placés. Même le petit déjeuner est tres cher pour l'offre, il faut payer 5€ pour une petit jus d'orange pressé !
Cet hôtel est un véritable petit bijou. La restauration de l’immeuble est magnifique : elle préserve toute l'âme du lieu tout en offrant des matériaux nobles et des sanitaires modernes. Mention spéciale pour l'excellente literie. L'emplacement est parfait pour tout faire à pied, même s'il reste un peu excentré de la gare. Un séjour exceptionnel et un vrai dépaysement !
Le gros plus : le petit-déjeuner, tant pour la qualité et la variété des produits que pour le cadre enchanteur au bord des canaux. Un grand merci au personnel aux petits soins durant tout le séjour.
Nous avions une chambre avec porte communicante, ce qui est génial pour les familles. En revanche, lorsque les voisins ne font pas partie du groupe on ne se sent pas à l’aise. On manque d’intimité.
Location seemed just about right - just a 5 min walk from main tourist spots and key water taxi stop. New property and nice staff and amazing breakfast.
