Best location for a hotel in Cairns
Pros:

The Hilton Hotel has the best location of all hotels in Cairns - right on Trinity Inlet, no road between the hotel and the waterfront. The hotel has a central atrium full of tropical plants, even palms and coconut trees, making it very natural and open to the environment and surroundings.
It is located at the start of the boardwalk which runs the full length of the waterfront and is lined with a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars. The departure point for reef excursions is also located along this same boardwalk.
The rooms are a reasonable size and have been recently upgraded, including the carpet. The views over Trinity Inlet and the mountains beyond are stunning.
The public areas of the hotel, such as the Lobby and Lobby Bar, (Gin Social), are very open and full of light - also with that same incredible view.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the hotel this year - a week each time - and I would not stay anywhere else. The Executive Lounge is very popular, and available with certain room catagories.
And to say that the staff are wonderful is an absolute understatement.

The hotel did not meet my expectations, for the reasons given (lost property).

Unfortunately, I left my sweater (jumper) in my room.
I called the hotel. The staff member said they would check and return my call.
My call was not returned.
I called again.
I was told that they did not have my sweater (jumper).

I am really surprised and disappointed that my sweater was not found after I checked out - and was not handed in to lost property.
This is apparently a 5-star hotel - and I would have expected there to be a system in place for checking the rooms after a guest departs, (and before the room is allocated to a new guest).

Description of sweater (jumper): Black and White horizontal stripes. Long sleeves.

A lot of Cairns is way overpriced. Tha Fish restaurant is great though. Excellent value for money.

숙소가 리프터미널과 가깝고, 산책로, 맛집들이 주변에 잘 되어있어서 좋았습니다. 수영장이 넓고, 작은 자쿠지가 있어요.
조식이 좋았고, 직원들이 친절했습니다.

Cons:

연식이 오래되어 방 인테리어가 전반적으로 낡았다.
그래도 관리가 잘 되면 괜찮은데, 관리가 잘 안 되는 느낌이었다. 내가 이용한 방은 앞호텔이 보이는 뷰라 뷰가 없었다. 실내 전등이 고장나 있었고, 실내등 뒤에 먼지가 너무 많았다. 드라이기 헤드가 깨져서 떨어져 있었다. 화장실 천장에 곰팡이가 많았다. 냉장고에서 물이 뚝뚝 떨어져서 입실했을때 냉장고 안에 수건이 들어있었다.
출국 전 하루 쉬는 호텔이라 그냥 있었지만, 가격(30만원대)대를 생각한다면 가성비가 너무 떨어지고, 힐튼 명성에 맞지 않았다.
