Staying for a volleyball tournament and just found out the restaurant does not open on weekends so there is no onsite breakfast/food option. Even better, they don't have coffee here.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like about Yotel.
I liked all facets of my stay at Yotel.
The hotel charges $100 a night deposit which is returned at the end of the stay. They mysteriously kept $8.00 from my deposit with no explanation!
Convenient location, just a few minutes away from Union Station. The room is spacious and very comfortable. The mood lights are great.
Rooms should have a coffee machine or at least an electric water kettle for tea/coffee. The hotel should provide real toilet paper instead of the annoying little square sheets of paper. The hotel bar should remain open till later than 6 PM.
Horrible customer service! I am terribly dyslexic, noticed I typed in the incorrect check-out date and booked for 1 day too many. Immediately called the hotel as I noticed that I was about 22 hours past the cancellation date. Was hoping for some flexibility, but no. Was given the run-around for a week, repeatedly calling, repeatedly being told that a manager would get back to me, but alas, Nope. The manager I finally hunted down to talk with me on the phone would not budget from corporate policy. Profit over people. Sorry that I will be staying at such a hotel.
The room is clean, quiet and fancy. The breakfast is super good.
Wonderful hotel. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The place and room was wonderfully clean. The sheets and towels were changed every day (even though we didn't ask for it). Great experience and economically sound.
Stayed at this Yotel two summers ago and enjoyed our stay. Booked a king bed but ended up with 2 doubles. Made the best of it.
This time we got a king bed but the room is so small that the bed takes up a majority of the space. There were only 2 bath towels and wash cloths. No hand towels?
There used to be coffee stations by the elevators. Told they were eliminated. No in-room coffee or tea and, for me, that is a real disappointment.
Good location, clean, modern.
Restaurant does not open until 7:30 even in workdays, coffee machine in the common area did not work. No tee or coffee was available in the hotel.
Daily food credit ($10) is useless!
Room was very clean. Loved the modern look and feel. The location of the hotel itself is excellent. Very accessible to the areas of DC
Room was just a little small and I couldn't figure out how to turn on the lights at first. But no biggie. Was very happy with my stay.
The staff was nice but the property was not clean and the ac broke. Then there was a bomb threat at the Hyatt, so we had to wait outside for hours before getting back into the hotel. It was 90 plus and there wasn’t any water.
The cleanliness.
location, room, clean
the elevators did not work properly e.g. arriving at floor, the doors would not completely open
