Pros:

Location was great. Breakfast was great.

Cons:

The facilities are very run down. Old bathrooms where the sinks are cracking. Door handles don't close properly. Cupboards in bedrooms don't even close properly.

Alles etwas in die Tage gekommen, Zimmer kann man nicht dicht schliessen, dass keine Mücken rein kommen. Bedienung sehr langsam und vergesslich. Pedro war super! Schlechte, dünne Strandtücher. Wenige Sonnenliegen. Beachfront Bungalows sind nicht direkt vorne am Wasser. Sonne verschwindet bereits ab 16:00 Uhr hinter dem Berg. Alles nicht sehr sauber. Pool sehr kalt.

Amazing location; yet very dated and need renovation asap
Pros:

Most amazing location of all Moorea, really good spot for snorkelling and convenient position with PADI just close by.
Excellent food options, not too expensive.
Easy to reach both from the airport and ferry.

Cons:

the hotel is very old. We could not sleep with A/C because the system was old and making such a loud noise that was impossible to fall asleep. Overall structure is really dated, including receptions and rooms. Really need renovation asap

Service was ok, but not at the right level for a 5 stars and for the price paid. Everyone was kind and always with a smile, but a lots of mistaken made (long serie which we stopped reporting because it made us waste so much time), no one with professional experience, stray dogs coming during breakfast and dinner asking for food… the all place was in decay, and we were paying 1500EUR per night. A bit ridiculous

Pros:

Love that your bags are brought to your room. The staff lets you know when your room is ready. The open air restaurant. Is wonderful!
Loved the overwater bungalow. Enjoyed going right into the water from my room.
Loved that we could order from the restaurant and enjoy the food from our terrace!

Cons:

The resort was showing some signs of wear. We arrived during some renovations - looking forward to the results!

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Der Strand ist wie ,man es sich wünscht.

Das Hotel ist renovierungsbedürftig und schlecht gepflegt. Für ein angebliches 5-Sterne Hotel untragbar.
Der Name Sofitel macht sich hier keine Ehre.
Insbesondere das preislich überzogene Abendessen in Hotelrestaurant war eine Katastrophe. Das Lachstatar meiner Frau war schmierig und leicht stinkig. Sie hat es zurückgegeben. Anstatt einer Entschuldigung oder sonst einer freundlichen Reaktion, hat die Servicedame den Teller vom Tisch gezogen und 1 Minute später die Rechnung inclusive Lachstatar auf den Tisch gelegt. Das darf in einem 5-Sterne Hotel nicht passieren. Wir haben uns dann die restliche Zeit des Urlaubs außerhalb des KIA-Sofitel Resorts ernährt. Dies sicherte unsere Gesundheit bei allerdings recht hohen Taxi-Kosten.
