Great location, but compromises on the elegance
Pros:

Great location and gym

Cons:

The room was very dated, the temperature dial for the shower was not fixed on and fell off marking the bath. The toilet also didn’t flush properly. Breakfast felt fairly expensive for what was offered.

* Staff does their best to assist you of anything you need

Conclusion:
It's NYC, so understandably pricey than usual but at least were in the middle of the city

Cons:

*Seemed like our room preparation was rushed or the usual complimentary items like slippers and/or disposable hygiene kits aren't exactly a thing, for which case there goes my money.

*Room is a little too dim even with multiple lamps on

Pros:

服务人员很友好比较耐心，尽管文化不相通，还是给予的友好，礼貌礼仪挺好的，总体还是觉得不错。

Cons:

能提供小提示健身房怎么走，位置在哪里，citibike的使用方法，或许更省事，不用电话咨询也不用前台问，对社恐或者语言能够不够的人士会更方便，也能减轻前台工作量。

Lower your expectations to a Motel 6.
Pros:

It was a room with a bed for us to sleep after long days.

Cons:

I paid for a king size bed, the hotel staff had upgrades other customers to my room, so I was put in a queen size bed. They could not compensate me and offered me free breakfast and to waive a fee that had already been waived. When coming to New York, I'm not going to eat at my hotel. The staff was rude and they said there was nothing they could do because they were booked up. They need to give me the difference in the rooms back.

This hotel is not worth the stay at this price point.
Pros:

The location was very convenient and they had complimentary water bottles for us every day. They also gave us slippers upon request.

Cons:

Check in was at 4pm and we arrived at 4:30pm, but the front desk told us that they didn't have our room ready for us yet because housekeeping was backed up. We were told that they would call us when our room was ready and that they could hold our bags for free (otherwise, it would be $3 per bag). We left our 3 bags and went on with our day.

I kept waiting for a call, but it was 10pm and we never got a call so I made the decision to just go back. Thankfully our room was ready, but they never called us when they said they would.

When I went to shower, I kept sneezing continuously in the shower. I usually don't have any trouble with my allergies, but my eyes were so itchy and I couldn't stop sneezing. My friend did as well when she went to shower and I noticed that the bathroom was very dusty. My friend thinks it was from the soaps. Regardless, my nose was very, very sensitive for the rest of the night. My friend also woke up the next day with her sinuses inflamed because of how bad her allergies were.

This hotel also charges a $35 destination fee (per night!!) that I already paid for when I booked the hotel. They said it works as credit and can be used towards their breakfast buffet, the bar, dinner or the gym. So my friend and I decide to check out their breakfast buffet the next morning to use up the $70 destination fee credit we already paid for.

As we were checking out, the hotel said that I owed $9 (for holding 3 bags) and $38 for the breakfast buffet. Apparently, we could only use $35 of the destination fee per day and since breakfast cost $73, I had to pay the remaining $38 out of pocket. No one explained that to us though.

We heard another customer complaining to the manager about allergies too. My friend and I spoke to them afterwards and they said it was because their room was very, very dusty. It turns out it wasn't just our room that was like that so definitely beware of sneaky charges and cleanliness when booking with this hotel.
