Golden Bay Beach Hotel

The hotel was very luxurious. We could get a hotel room with a giant balcony and hot tub that was not that expensive! The food was very nice and had lots of things to do.

I had Christmas lunch with my Mum at Golden Bay Beach Hotel and I just wanted to say a very big thank you to you all!

This is my 2nd year celebrating Christmas with you all and I’ll be sure to return for a 3rd.

All the kind staff did a fantastic job, Merry Christmas and I’ll contact you again in October/November for Christmas 2026!

We decided to treat ourselves to a Christmas break at this hotel. Whilst the hotel was clean and the staff was amazing ❤️❤️❤️, there were a number of areas that could do with improvement.

1. There is no disabled toilet facility on the ground floor. I was directed to use a lift to access a toilet on a lower floor where the hand soap dispenser refused to dispense any soap. On Christmas Day there was a significant number of visitors with mobility issues and it is my opinion that the disabled toilet provision is sorely lacking.

2. There was no hot food for those of use who ate at the Christmas Day buffet lunch. The dishes that should have been hot were barely tepid. Given the cost of the meal we expected far better.

3. Whilst our accommodation was clean and spacious with a great view from our balcony, the bathroom was a disappointment. The door was badly in need of replacement and the positioning of the toilet roll holder (which incorporated a metal lid) was a danger to anyone sitting on the toilet. There were also signs of mould on the privacy partition between the bathroom and the bedroom.

Our experience at the Golden Bay Beach Hotel was excellent, as always. Over the past two years, we have maintained continuous cooperation with the hotel for all our business meetings and visiting guests. The hotel offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere throughout, creating a calm and relaxing environment.

The staff are consistently friendly and professional, the rooms are clean, and the overall level of service is of high quality. The food is exceptional and fully meets the diverse requirements of our team.

The location is ideal—close to the airport, which is very convenient for our guests, and also near the city center.

As soon as you arrive, the staff remember you by name, and are friendly, and most helpful. Mr Anthos - the hotel manager, is visible and leads the way in providing excellent hospitality.

We would like to thank the bar, reception, the porters, beach, spa, catering staff - the food is varied, takes account of various cultures, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and has an excellent variety of Greek food - and the cleaning staff - the hotel is spotless!
The new furniture in the reception and bar area is so comfortable and modern.

A convenient location - buses or taxis are most easily accessible, and the beachfront is beautiful.

We are looking forward to returning again. Thank you for an enjoyable, and relaxing holiday.

The hotel is in a nice location and the food is good. However we had been looking forward to spa treatments as we were visiting off season and wanted to use the indoor pool, steam room etc. The whole area is very dinghy and doesn't look like its been refurbished since the 90s. Old showers, paint peeling, chipped tiles, shabby towels and an old changing room with a bench in it so you have to change where anyone can walk in from reception. Pool was old and had dirt at the bottom and the windows around the pool haven't been cleaned for months. The whole thing felt very grubby and really spoilt our experience. Nowhere near 5 star. Not even 3.

The Staff on Reception and in the Resturant/ Dining room were amazing.
Out room was cleaned everyday. The towels were also changed everyday.

Solo night stay at this hotel. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, lovely grounds. The rooms are more traditional and could do with a refresh and overall would be more aligned to a 4 star hotel.

We arrived at the hotel at 3am and although it was early morning, check in was quick friendly and efficient. The room was a standard double but was a good size, clean and had all the facilities you needed. The balcony was also a good size with beautiful views over the grounds, pools and out to sea. We went for half board and the food was excellent with lots of choice and variety. The terrace was a stunning place for breakfast and dinner. It looked across the pools, through palm trees and onto the beach.
The whole of the grounds were well maintained and spacious. There were loads of loungers around the pools, under the shade of the palm trees or on the beach. Their system of reserving loungers on the day you arrive and they stay yours for the duration was brilliant. You could have a lie in and not have to worry all the loungers will have gone. The private beach covered a long stretch so there was plenty of space and the water was so clean and crystal clear.
To top it all, the staff were brilliant. Very attentive friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A prime example was when we asked for a 5am taxi to take us to the airport the lovely lady on reception asked if we’d like the kitchen to make us something special quickly for breakfast before we left. Touches like that really make such a difference.
We wanted a quiet couple of days to relax in the sun and this hotel provided exactly that. A huge thank you to all at the hotel that made it such a lovely break.

Everything was perfect. Great food, great drinks and most of all great people. Enjoyed every minute of our stay here.

This is the second time this year that we have stayed at the Golden Bay Beach Hotel in Larnaca and once again, it was excellent. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient and this is a reflection of the Hotel Manager and Restaurant Manager, both of whom are charming, always helpful and willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is enjoyable. We would like to thank everyone for a great stay - the waiting staff, the pool attendants, housekeeping, reception staff. We are planning another stay in 2026. Organizing our child’s christening at the Golden Bay Beach Hotel turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made. Thalassa Restaurant was the ideal venue – bright, spacious, and with a fantastic atmosphere. What stood out most for me was the service: the staff were attentive without being intrusive, and everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. The food was exceptional – a perfect blend of traditional and modern dishes that left everyone raving about it. As a father, I wanted this day to be special and stress-free, and the hotel team delivered beyond expectations. I highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion.

The Staff were always extremely attentive and helpful.
The only drawback is that there are insufficient rooms in the Hotel to accommodate guests who have disabilities and require additional aids in the bathroom (particularly a Shower Seat and Grab Rails on each side of the toilet). In fact, it appears they have only one room containing such aids. I questioned this with one of the Managers, but he never reverted to me. So, I do not know whether he is (or will be) reviewing the situation.

We had an amazing time! I went with my boyfriend and weather was great during late September, a low of 22 and a high of 30.

It’s hard to pick the highlight for us seeing as the staff was super friendly, the room and especially bathroom was so pleasant and the buffet was unbelievable, so I’ve narrowed it down to 2 things-
The Tavern restaurant, and the private beach.

The Tavern restaurant is an absolute must. You can go have a delicious mezze dinner instead of the buffet (which is also great), the dishes just kept coming and the kitchen was super accommodating to our dietary restrictions.
The private beach (make sure you reserve an umbrella by placing your card in the designated holder, it reserves it for your entire trip) was the break we both needed from everything going on. Wake up, eat breakfast, straight to the beach for at least 2 hours every day.
We’re definitely coming back and recommending it to friends!

Pro tip - There’s a bus (425) right outside the hotel that takes you to the Larnaca Marina in town. The ride itself is along the coastline, also really pretty. The Marina has cool historical sites, fun beaches and brilliant restaurants with a fun nightlife scene. The bus only accepts cash so make sure you have 2.5 Euros for each direction, and explore.

We recently celebrated our baby’s christening at the Golden Bay Beach Hotel, in the beautiful Thalassa Restaurant, and I could not have asked for a more perfect day. From the very first meeting, the hotel staff made me feel so supported and reassured. On the day, everything was flawless – the setting was elegant, the service warm and attentive, and the food simply divine. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious, and our guests were so impressed. As a mother, it was so important to me that everything went smoothly, and thanks to the professionalism of the team, I was able to relax and enjoy every moment. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped create such a memorable celebration for our family.

It was an honor to be the godfather at the christening we held at the Golden Bay Beach Hotel, and I have to say the experience was extraordinary. The Thalassa Restaurant offered the perfect ambiance – stylish yet warm, ideal for a family celebration. The menu was outstanding, with every dish bursting with flavor, and the service was impeccable. The staff made sure that the entire event flowed effortlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy the celebration without worrying about any details. As someone who has attended many events, I can confidently say this was one of the best-organized and most enjoyable. Truly unforgettable!
