Do not stay here.
Pros:

The location to memorials was good.

Cons:

The hotel was outdated, dirty, and not functioning well. We arrived in our room to the smoke detectors beeping, that was fixed quickly. Our toilet however ran all the time. We complained to the front desk and they came to “fix” it twice. We ended up shutting the water off to the toilet after we used it and turned it back on to use it.
The furniture was dated and the linens were dirty. This hotel needs a major upgrade.

I would stay there again. Nice big room, and nice staff.
Pros:

The location was close to a metro stop, once we figured out how to get there. The breakfast was good, with different hot choices each day. Also, although we had to pay to park, it was self parking, which we prefer.

Cons:

We didn't like the extra charges for potential damages. We felt we had to document some things so we didn't get any unexpected charges. This was refunded after checkout.

Disappointing.
Pros:

We liked the location, and the ease in getting around from there.

Cons:

VERY loud teens and kids screaming and slamming doors at all hours. Heater was not working. The engineer didn't even knock..... We had to call several times for him to get to our room.... And by the time he got there, we had to leave. TV channels were all not as listed... For example Syfy network listed as national geographic channel.... Just crazy....... We were disappointed.... After having a nice stay in September, we expected the same..... Nope. Why?

Close to local amenities including subway. The bed and pillows were good.
The room was spacious.

Cons:

I am not used to sharing a breakfast restaurant with people who indulge in loading plates to the max, stuffing food in pockets, and in general acting in odd behaviours.

Great location for visiting DC
Pros:

The hotel is in a really good location. It is close to a Metro station and only three stops to downtown DC. You rarely have to use your car. There are some decent restaurants within walking distance.
Our suite was really large. It was clean and quiet. The breakfast was better than some places with decent choices.

Large suites& clean but they are old so need to update!
