My fiancé and I had a genuinely hurtful and upsetting experience with this hotel. We had been offered the bar in Aloft for our wedding and rooms for our guests. Then, when they sent over the booking form, they casually told us that they'd given the bar to someone else on the same night. The fact that someone else even wanted it was never communicated to us. We accept the first-come-first-served policy, but it seems to us that the decent thing to do would have been to at least warn us, given that the abrupt change completely screwed up our wedding plan and left us with no choice but to organise something else with less time to do so. Worse, when we enquired if they could offer us any compensation for our wedding, they said they couldn't do anything. This hotel has a genuinely awful, unprofessional way of doing business. They were uncommunicative and unhelpful. We both genuinely wish we'd never gotten in touch with them in the first place and I'm only sharing our experience here to warn others not to make the same mistake.
Very handy, clean room
Nothing
Amazing location and we had a great time. The rooms were clean and the staff were frie dly and service was really good. Vanessa at the front desk gave us great tips w.r.t. restaurants, site seeing tours and best ways to travel (particularly the short cuts to help save time). The terrace had an amazing view and we enjoyed having tea with biscuits early in the morning and late in the evening.
We stayed here upon our arrival to Ireland. Staff friendly, hotel exceptionally clean and beds so comfy. It is centrally located (20 minute walk to Guinness Storehouse and Temple Bar area. Breakfast on 7th floor had plenty of choices and the view was fantastic!!
I was there for two nights for a family wedding in a.near by event. The service at the check in for all our guests including the bridal party was not the service you would expect for a 4 star hotel. NO SHOWER DOOR on shower! Water all over bathroom floor when someone took a shower. Top bar was closed for a party event all day on the Saturday very disappointing when you have a wedding party staying at the hotel. Breakfast food was not the food you would offer at a four star hotel, uncooked sausages and eggs were always empty when we looked for some. Fire alarm went off at 1:00am no explanation to the guests. Would not recommend this hotel. T
Very pleased with our stay at Aloft. The location was great with easy access to the hop on bus and a short walk to St Patrick’s and down to the river. The concierges Amandou, Miguel and Van were so helpful making our plans. The top floor breakfast and lounge was cool. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is well located, around 25–30 minutes from Dublin Airport depending on traffic, with a taxi costing approximately €40. Although it's not right in the heart of the city, it's only about a 15-minute walk to Temple Bar and the main tourist attractions. Being just outside the busiest part of the city also means it's noticeably quieter, which we really appreciated.
The rooms are spacious, modern and well equipped. There wasn't anything particularly extravagant, but everything was comfortable, clean and exactly what you'd expect from a good international hotel brand.
Breakfast offered a good selection and was of a high standard. If it's included in your room rate, it's definitely worth taking. If not, don't worry too much, as there are plenty of cafés within walking distance where you can enjoy an excellent breakfast for around €10–12.
One of the highlights is the rooftop bar. It offers lovely views across Dublin and is a great place to relax with a cocktail after a day of sightseeing. The drinks are on the expensive side, but that's fairly typical for Dublin city centre.
Our only disappointment came on the Saturday evening when the rooftop bar was closed for a private event. Unfortunately, the music was extremely loud and carried directly into our sixth-floor room below. We raised this with reception and were reassured that it would finish around 10:30 pm, which it did, but it did affect what had otherwise been a peaceful stay.
I think the hotel should review how it manages noise during private functions, particularly for guests staying on the upper floors.
Apart from that one issue, we found the staff friendly, the hotel comfortable and the location ideal for exploring Dublin while avoiding the noise of the city centre.
Overall, a very good hotel and one I would certainly consider staying at again.
L’hôtel a confirmé la réservation mais n’avez plus de chambres. Nous sommes arrivés et avons dû aller dans un autre hôtel. Inadmissible
The concierge was outstanding as well as the bar supervisor but i can't recall her name right now. The service from the front desk manager was great also. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety.
My wife and I stayed here for the final night of an eight-day trip before flying out the next morning. Our king room was clean, comfortable, and very much in line with the Aloft experience we have had elsewhere. The air conditioning worked especially well, and the location was convenient.
The only drawback was the check-in experience. The receptionist spoke very softly and was difficult to understand. In an international city, occasional communication challenges are understandable, but stronger training in clear, direct, and engaging verbal communication would have made the arrival easier to navigate.
Overall, it was a dependable and comfortable stay that met our expectations.
Helpful staff
Clean facilities
We had a fantastic girls trip away in Dublin. We stayed in the Aloft as it was central, offered valet car parking and had a rooftop bar with stunning views & amazing cocktails. Every part of our stay was excellent
A seemingly fancy hotel that has apparently skimped out on affording a locking bathroom door in my hotel room. As an autistic person, this makes me feel supremely uncomfortable and I genuinely question why a clearly lockable bathroom door isn't included by default. Other than that, the hotel is standard to other, similarly priced hotels. The staff are great, though!
The staff was friendly, attentive and prompt. I asked for non-down feathers and they arrived immediately. My biggest frustration was with the shower. The lack of door or curtain ensured that there was water everywhere and everything in the room felt damp all of the time. The towels smelled musty, when we got new ones they also smelled musty. Also, there is a window from the bathroom right to the beds. So when someone got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, the light would wake everyone else up. I would have also preferred that there was no mini bar and instead a fridge that we could use.
