Pulizia e velocità nel check in e check out
After a few days of considering whether to leave a review or not, I finally decided to do so. My intention is not to be negative, but hopefully to help improve things, as sometimes constructive feedback can be beneficial.
My wife, my beautiful daughter, and I stayed here a few days ago, and overall our stay was good. We had no major issues. The room was clean, the lobby was clean and cozy, and the breakfast team did an excellent job. They were professional, attentive, and a credit to the hotel.
However, a few small things left a bitter taste. When we checked in, we paid €240 in total: €100 as a deposit and €140 for the room. During the reservation process, the agreed room rate was €191. When I asked about the difference, the receptionist explained that rates depend on availability and can change. It wasn’t really about the money, but rather the principle. When a price has been agreed upon during the reservation process, guests expect that price to be honoured. It creates confusion and makes you wonder what exactly is happening when the final amount differs from what was originally discussed.
Another observation I had concerns the bar team. The staff were very polite, friendly, and willing to help, which is always appreciated. However, I believe they would benefit from additional training to improve their overall service and product knowledge.
As I said, these are relatively small issues, and overall we enjoyed our stay. I hope this feedback is taken in the constructive spirit in which it is intended, as I believe the hotel has a lot of positives and the potential to be even better.
The staff is so nice and welcoming. From the front desk to the roof top bar restaurant. Violet was so helpful when we arrived, during our stay, and helped with all of our luggage. The rooms are clean, views are great, and location is so close to so many sites. We will definitely stay here again! Violet, thank you!! Luis we thoroughly enjoyed the conversation!
My stay in this hotel was so lovely. Front desk so welcoming and no delays in checking in.
Location was excellent, short walk to the city centre.
Room was great, very comfy bed, nice decor and quiet.
Had lovely meal in the bar, staff friendly and very efficient.
Food top class.
Cocktails on the roof top were definitely worth waiting for.
Breakfast was full of different options,
So enjoyable.
I can’t wait to visit here again very soon.
We stayed for one night with our baby and found the hotel very comfortable. We liked the location - 10 minutes walk to St Patrick’s and 20 minutes walk to St Stephen’s. The room was big enough for a baby travel cot and had a kettle for making bottles. The staff in the on site restaurant were friendly to our baby.
They do not communicate well at all. No updates through the app, and I ended up wasting three hours waiting for a room on my birthday — which they knew about — because they claimed they’d upgrade me. The “upgrade” turned out to be the exact same room I originally booked. They told me to wait for something better, and it was all nonsense. The place itself is nice, but don’t bother with their BS. The staff is useless.

Cocierge very good. Excellent location and quiet area
Allocated disabled room terrible bathroom water everywhere when you shower
The Hotel is very nice however on the two occasions I stayed here in May 26 I did not have a great experience with my room, the first room I had on the 6th floor smelt of blocked drains and the A/C was stuck on 22.5 degrees! the second room 403 the A/C was so loud it actually work me up. I'm sure not all the rooms are like this, and I was just unlucky as rooms are spacious, well appointed and modern.
I stayed at Aloft Dublin City with Sasha, my traveling flamingo companion, and honestly, this property was fabulous from the moment I arrived. (if you know, you know)
I got in around noon, fully expecting to drop my bags and wander off until check-in time, but the front desk team welcomed me immediately, had my room ready, and acknowledged my Marriott Ambassador status. I was also wearing cat ears, because apparently that is how I travel now, and one of the staff members said, “Love your ears.” That is exactly the kind of hospitality detail that wins me over.
The room was comfortable, the vibe of the hotel was fun, and the staff throughout the property were genuinely awesome. After checking in, I spent the afternoon wandering around Dublin, enjoying the city, the architecture, and eventually far more cobblestones than my body had authorized.
Later, I headed up to the WXYZ rooftop bar to journal and sip tequila. The tequila selection was not huge, but the bartender and entire staff were incredibly friendly, which more than made up for it. The rooftop venue itself is lovely. It was cloudy, so Dublin was being a bit mysterious with the views, but the space still had a great atmosphere.
I also had dinner there, which for me meant two sides: mac and cheese, and truffle oil fries. I know that sounds simple, but these were absurdly good. Truly, suspiciously good. I have had a lot of fries in my life, and these may now be part of my personal mythology. The mac and cheese was also fantastic. I wanted more, but exhaustion won and I had to admit defeat.
Overall, Aloft Dublin City was a wonderful stay: great property, fantastic staff, fun rooftop bar, and food that made two side dishes feel like a tiny luxury feast. I would absolutely stay here again.
Highly recommend, especially if you appreciate friendly service, good vibes, and fries that may require their own fan club.
Usually hotels are extremely small when I take a trip internationally (I’m American) and this one was not. That was a pleasant surprise. I had countertop space in the bathroom, hanging room in the hotel and a KING size bed.
The staff was fantastic! The location was great for seeing Dublin’s historic past. Amenities were very good. Concierge service was top notch. Everyone was at the ready to help answer the simplest question. And if that person did not know the answer off the top of his or her head … they were finding someone that could.
The only minor ‘issue’ that I saw was the available storage for clothing. There was plenty of hanger storage space but no drawers for things. But that was a minor thing.
Location and helpful staff
Loved the bar area and Fru our bartender was just absolutely amazing.
Staff was very nice and friendly. Hotel room was fresh and clean. An excellent place to stay.
The accommodations surpassed our expectations, offering exceptional comfort, and the housekeeping team consistently maintained an impeccable standard. The front desk staff demonstrated remarkable responsiveness, and the rooftop bar provided an outstanding and highly accommodating experience.
