When travelling to LA for a show at the Roxy, there is no place better to stay than at the Montrose.
Pros:

The front desk staff kindly provided me with extras such as ice, a lighter, a toothbrush, extra bedding, and an upgraded room at no extra charge. He also scheduled time for pickleball on the hotel court. We also appreciated that the hotel's checkout time is noon, not 11:00am. Although there is no overnight parking allowed in Beverly Hills, and the hotel's parking fee is $70, there is street parking available in the neighborhood up the hill in Sunset Hills off Doheny. Oh! I met a celebrity actor in the hotel's elevator.

Cons:

There is no smoking allowed on the balconies of the rooms. I'm glad there's no smoking allowed inside, but if the rooms have balconies, why not let us smoke on them?

Think property was overpriced
Pros:

Room was very clean although they spray alot of perfume, very strong smell of perfume in corridors and rooms. Pool was clean and location was central.

Cons:

We asked the staff to get us Organise a price for Transfer from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, we were quoted a Price and we said yes then on the day Driver turned up and the price changed by 500 USD and asked us to pay in advance then we saw the price was more expensive and different. When we went back to the concierge reception they said that this happens sometimes. Very disappointing. We then organised our own transfer through LYFT App and we got it for 500 cheaper exact same vehicle as the one.

Exceptional service and unbeatable location
Pros:

A fantastic American-style hotel in a prime location! It’s right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of many attractions and surrounded by iconic restaurants and cafes. The staff was incredibly helpful—we accidentally left a phone behind, and they went above and beyond to help us coordinate its delivery to our next destination in New York. Highly recommended for both the service and the location!

Cons:

However, there were a couple of minor issues. The air conditioner was directed right toward the bed, which was uncomfortable; we had to create some barriers to block the direct cold air. Additionally, the Wi-Fi signal was quite weak in our room, so we barely used it.
Also, worth noting for future guests: like many US hotels, they require a security deposit at check-in, which is fully refunded after checkout. Overall, a great stay and highly recommended for the service and location!

Pros:

The rooftop pool and tennis court were awesome, so much fun to spend time up there. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was super sweet one day, but not friendly when we checked in. Alas, maybe the front desk guy was having an off day. Awesome walkable location to great bars and restaurants.

Cons:

The customer service was great from some people, but a couple of staff didn't seem too thrilled to be helping us. I don't want to ding the good ones, though! Food prices on the Booking page are inaccurate; it's way more expensive when you're there.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. My son and I were exceptionally comfortable in our room-it was very spacious. The room was filled with amenities, the pool was fantastic, and the happy hour was a bonus!

This hotel is a gem! Would stay here again.
Pros:

We have stayed at this hotel before and we love the location, staff, property and amenities. The check in was fast and smooth and the staff member was very pleasant. The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice seating area. After a stroll in the neighborhood visiting both Sunset Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard we were able to attend their "happy hour", hosted by another friendly staff member think it was Andrew, who doesn't like a complementary glass of wine or two in the afternoon? We decided to have breakfast in the morning and we were well taken care of by the pleasant staff member. Check out went smoothly and the staff was very accommodating to hold on to our luggage while we were able to do some touristy things. We definitely would pick this hotel again as it has just what we are looking for. We have used the pool area in the past and we like the amenities. This hotel is a gem!!

The larger gentlemen was no assistance checking in, to the point he got so confused and would not allow my wife to use her card a security deposit, meaning I had to redraw an account costing me $150+ in interest charges, all to then be told "oops I was confused I can use her card"

Perfect stay in
Pros:

Great quiet and safe residential area, huge suites and lots of space with a beautiful rooftop pool.

Cons:

Not much - but there was no kettle in room, got one sent up from room service but it didn’t have the right plug.
