The hotel needs updating

The hotel shares a space with a night club, every night there are people going to the club hanging downstairs. Two elevators (out of 4) are used for the club and the club staff (the ones operating the elevators) are very rude. The club crowd is the lowest of the lowest, drunk people and loud. Some of them take hotel rooms for the night after going to party, and you can hear them down the hall when they return from the club.
The hotel was leaking everywhere, so you couldn’t really seat at the lobby.
The hotel is not the cleanest, to say the least and you can hear the noise from outside, as the windows aren’t sealed.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The place just felt a bit disorganised, there seemed to be lots of people that appeared to work there but they all wore different outfits and seemed pretty relaxed about whether they would engage with us when we needed something. They also have some really bad plumbing issues and had water streaming into the bar, so bad that they had to actually close off half of the seating area and on the 3rd night apparently a leak on the 38th floor caused a fire alarm to trigger setting all the in room alarms off at 3.15am, it’s not fun to be woken by a loudspeaker in the room telling you to ‘Remain in place, while we investigate’.

Also the alarm and warning woke me at 3 AM and advise to stay in the room and not leave (with no explanation) then have to wait until the second announcement will be coming and let us know everything ok. Stay only one night but not sure will be back as very unpleasant experience.

I was literally allergic to the room, which means it was not cleaned well and there was either excessive dust or dust-mites. On night 4 I finally decided I was not getting sick with a cough, as it was only at night, so I too extra strength Benadryl and finally sleep though the night without coughing once, highly concerning. I advised the reception and the did not seem to care.

I also left something in the room, called less then 30 minutes after leaving the hotel to ask if they could find it and give to my co-worker who was leaving later. They promised to call me to confirm. They never called back and they did not give it to my co-worker - hence I would say the customer service was less then extraordinary.

We also got lectured by an employee how to properly wait for a elevator - which was done right strange.

I also did not like the bedding, which was very heavy vs. a light fluffy duvet.

On a final note, the lighting in the room and bathroom is terrible, hence if make-up application is important to you I recommend you bring your own mirror with lighting.
