The staff is so accommodating, and the rooms are beautifully appointed. Nice warm showers, excellent breakfast included. Two patios, one with a vertical garden. Access to the roof top for a view of the sunrise. We all agreed we would definitely stay there again.
Very clean and within walking distance to many attraction in historic Quito.
The breakfast was great!
Such wonderful and kind hosts.
Everything was great.
The location is ideal close to the main square and the basilica. The rooms are so quaint. The owner and staff made you feel like you were family.
Beautiful hotel building, large rooms, great location. But all of this is overshadowed by the woman who works here.
The female owner of the hotel is horrible. She tries to nickel and dime you for every single thing, and treats you like you're children. Also beware that there is NO option of luggage storage for a late flight out. She will only offer to charge you the entire cost of the room. This was very inconvenient for us and is completely ridiculous. She has more than enough space. I wish I had seen a review about this before booking because I absolutely would not have booked here.
The hotel is situated just down the street from the cathedral and this family takes care of their guests. Delightful!
Beautiful boutique hotel with amazing art and murals throughout. Hotel front is inconspicuous, but inside is amazing. Service also excellent.
Amelia and Byron were outstanding hosts. The rooms are so unique with beautiful art and wood floors. The breakfast was perfect for our stay. Our rooms were extremely clean and perfect for our stay.
We stayed in this lovely small hotel for two nights during our time in Quito. The building is very ornate and rooms are large with good sound proofing. Very friendly host and staff
The
The hotel is very well located within a few minutes walk to the basilica and also the town square.
The facilities are great considering the age of the building. The property has that heritage feel about it which is so nice in the old town area.
The room we had was very spacious and the double glazing on the doors and windows mean there is no noise in any room.
Great value for money and the cleanliness of the whole place is well above standard.
What makes this place is the people. The staff here are so friendly and go out of their way to make sure you feel at home. Even with a language barrier of Spanish and English, translate works beautifully and the host here makes sure that you feel like family as part of your stay.
Recommend you book here and try it out.

We loved everything about this hotel. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Great location. Historic building nicely updated into a hotel. Helpful staff.
No windows to outside.
We had a lovely stay at Hotel La Basilica. Our room San Agustin was very spacious and clean with a comfortable firm bed.
The location of the hotel is ideal for walking to the Centro histórico.
We felt very safe.
We loved the historic atmosphere of the hotel.
Gorgeous hotel in a beautifully restored old building, right in the middle of historic part of Quito. Every room is different. The owners are there to answer any questions and arrange any tours or transportation. Free breakfast was plentiful. There's a rooftop viewing area where you can see all of Quito. They go out of the way to make you feel part of their family!
