Tara Resort Samui

Son bungalows sencillos pero muy cómodos y más que suficientes para dos personas. Me quedé allí un mes y tuve una estancia maravillosa. Fui en temporada baja, así que todo estaba muy tranquilo.
Hay una cocina exterior donde también preparé mi propia comida. Igualmente, ellos tienen un restaurante al que puedes ir, son 6 minutos en moto, y está muy bien.
Justo enfrente hay una lavandería donde pones monedas y puedes lavar tu ropa sin problema. También hay una piscina disponible para los huéspedes.
Como el lugar está rodeado de naturaleza, es normal que haya algunos insectos. Pero las ventanas tienen mosquiteras, así que en ese sentido todo fue muy tranquilo, porque los mosquitos no entraban en el bungalow.
Es un lugar muy tranquilo, con mucha vida local, algo que me gustó bastante. Además, está en una zona de la isla menos turística, lo cual también me encantó.
Sin embargo, es esencial tener una moto para desplazarse. La playa, el gimnasio y todas las tiendas están a cinco minutos en moto. Y la isla en sí es encantadora; vale muchísimo la pena explorá-la en moto.
Los propietarios son personas muy tranquilas y simpáticas.

The location was away from the hustle and nightlife, nice to walk every morning into Nathon and the waterfall. The owners are really, really nice people who will do most anything fro you.

Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estadía aquí, el lugar es hermoso, tiene un parque muy grande con mucha vegetación y mucha tranquilidad para desconectar realmente.. La piscina es grande y está disponible todo el tiempo. En tanto a los anfitriones son súper amables y atentos a todo lo que necesites… Sin duda lo elegiríamos nuevamente para la próxima ocasión

Very sweet couple checked us in and helped us with a bike out for the island transfers to and from ferrys. They delivered fresh water bottles and fruit every morning at no extra cost. Peaceful location not too far out the way. The room was perfect spaced out with seating area and a large TV for use. Would highly recommend and happily stay again. Perfect

A stunning location immersed in nature, offering a truly serene escape. While the rainy season can make the access road a bit challenging—especially if you're new to riding scooters—the short 8-minute journey to town is otherwise easy and scenic. The real highlight? A breathtaking waterfall just five minutes up the road, adding an unforgettable touch of adventure to your stay.

Tara Resort is the whole experience, not just the place to stay. We rented a villa for a month and could not be more happy! Very comfortable room with a big screen tv, plenty of storage, full kitchen just behind your back door, big fridge, fast wifi, working desk, patio with a beautiful view. We’ve enjoyed swimming pool occasionally. The owner’s family is very helpful and welcoming, providing that “at home” feeling.
Location is a bit distanced from tourist destinations, but if you want to disconnect and rest - this is the right choice. There are plenty wildlife going on, so always check your place for unwanted visitors like hunter spiders or even snakes (owners helped us to get out one with the animal rescue team), I’d recommend keeping the doors closed after the sunset and you’ll be fine!
The place can get moldy though, if it’s raining season (we stayed in November when lots of rain) and since it’s close to the river. Don’t bring stuff that you’re not ready to lose to the mold and arrange a good ventilation.
I highly recommend them from my heart since it’s a unique experience, kinda a countryside of Thailand but with comfort. Easy to rent a scooter right there, laundry just a few steps away. Perfect, would love to be back for a dryer season ❤️

It are is lovely and very quiet location. We saw very little of the staff and when we did they were smiley and friendly but couldn't understand us,which was difficult because they didn't empty the bins or change the towels and there was no information in the room telling us what the procedure was regarding this. Not enough cutlery, only one knife and there was no plug for microwave and no tea towels. No restaurant or bar which would be a problem if you didn't hire a car. Beautiful surroundings just needs attention to basics.

It's the garden of Eden, such a really beautiful serene place, especially if you're in a need of quietness and calmness in nature amongst the mountains just beside the jungle.
Host family is really nice and helpful, rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped.
Dogs are friendly.

Endroit super agréable, à 10 minutes des commodités, du port. Personnes hyper serviables et attentives. Reviendrai à coup sûr !

A beautiful location and a very kind family hosting. We spent 4 weeks at Tara and loved every day there. The cabins have everything you need and are very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and walks into Na Thon or up to the waterfall.

very friendly staff always replying quickly, the family garden is beautiful, mountain & jungle scenery are amazing, the studio equipment is the best I had in Thailand, really enjoyed the quality of the studio and the outdoor kitchen
