There is so much to like about Padi Ecolodge....The room was beautiful,built in the traditional style,spacious,clean and serviced daily.Sleep quality was excellent.....The location was very good-a short Ojeck/Grab ride into the centre of town and surrounded by rice fields.The staff were friendly and helpful-I want to thank Aldo who met me when I arrived and took me to the Lodge,Agi who helped me when I was leaving and took my luggage to the parking area,Salsa who organised a car and driver to take me to Padang,Rio who took me there as well as Michael,Hudin and Fajer...An excellent place to stay...Top marks....10 out of 10.

The access to the property quite far from the parking/main road
Not much choices of juice / fruits for breakfast
- Located in a beautiful oasis of paddy fields which made for a nice escape from the business and noise of the city
- Very clean and comfortable rooms with incredible views of the garden and canyon
- Our room was ready on arrival allowing us to check in early which was greatly appreciated after a very long bus ride!
- The food was really tasty and the portions were very generous
We loved it here on the whole and wished we could’ve stayed longer than one night! It is a very calm and tranquil place to stay.
- Expensive compared to other similar places we have stated in Sumatra
- The food in the restaurant was excessively expensive (one of the most expensive meals we had in Sumatra!)
- Staff were not always very helpful at answering our questions although they were generally friendly and smiley on the whole
- Not easy to walk into town as it is a very steep uphill walk to get there. We got a grab taxi in and walked back!
I had a wonderful stay at Padi Ecolodge, the view is absolutely stunning! Surrounded by lush paddy fields and overlooking a breathtaking canyon, it’s the perfect spot to relax and reconnect with nature. The peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing breakfast made the experience unforgettable. Truly a hidden gem in Padang! but what truly stood out was the breakfast, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The team’s warm hospitality made the experience even more delightful.

Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und herzlich – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen.
Mein Zimmer war sauber, gemütlich und das Frühstück war lecker und liebevoll zubereitet.
Obwohl ich nur eine Nacht da war, kann ich dieses Hotel absolut empfehlen!

Le resort, situé au milieu des rizières et de la forêt, est magnifique !
Le personnel est aux petits soins et le petit déjeuner est très bon, adapté à la clientèle essentiellement européenne.
Bons petits plats pour déjeuner et dîner.
Jaka, le Manager et guide est très agréable et parle un excellent anglais.

Amazing location, staff are really friendly, great food options. The room is clean and comfortable and there is ample hot water and good water pressure.
Where to go on arrival from the main road is not obvious, the path to the accommodation is not where the sign is and the path isn’t marked so is difficult to figure out.
Also the drain smell at points was a bit overpowering.
Magnifique hôtel dans le style minangkabau au beau milieu des rizières. J'avais une chambre sous le toit, avec 2 balcons, magnifique.
Le lit est confortable, tout est propre.
Très bon petit-déjeuner copieux : gâteau à la banane et pain faits maison, pancake, confitures, fruits.
Bons repas également. Et un très bon guide qui parle bien anglais : Jaka.
Les oreillers trop épais, l'odeur dans la salle de bains.

Fantastische locatie, zalig ontbijt. Behulpzaam personeel. Een gezellige club makaken die zich regelmatig laten zien. Zalig bed.
Dit was voor ons een luxe uitstapje gedurende onze reis. Onwijs genoten!
