During the last two days of my stay, a significant portion of the hallway on my floor was sealed off with what appeared to be fire-retardant material, and some form of maintenance or cleaning work was carried out. Unfortunately, no prior notice or explanation was provided to guests.

This situation was particularly disturbing for several reasons:
1. The noise level was excessive, including during nighttime hours, which made rest difficult.
2. There was a very strong, unpleasant chemical smell (similar to insecticide or industrial cleaning substances) that spread into the rooms.
3. No measures were taken to relocate guests or minimize exposure, despite the impact on comfort and well-being.

The lack of communication and consideration for guests in this context is, frankly, unacceptable and falls short of the standards expected at this level of hospitality.

Additionally, I noticed several issues related to room maintenance and cleanliness:
• stained lamps
• visibly dirty carpets

These details further contributed to a disappointing experience, especially considering the price point, which does not reflect the quality delivered.

Finally, on the last day, despite placing a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, I received a notice stating that access to the room must be granted at least once every 24 hours. This is not something I have encountered in other hotels and felt intrusive.

Good breakfast but not much choice

Cons:

Could hear the elevators all night from my first room. Also no club lounge facilities or any room amenities except bottled water that is billed to the guest.

Wouldn't recomend. Everything is old, uncomfortable, really disappointing.
Pros:

Cons:

All the rest, gym, pool, room, reception, etc... So old looking, smelling and all, really disappointed.

Very nice stay in the heart of downtown
Pros:

Very nice hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent with anything you could want. They are in the process of renovating, so some rooms are more updated than others.

The valets are world class
Pros:

We actually had to do a swap between our car with another rental car, and the valets were super helpful. Couldn’t have asked for nicer guys! Thank you so much Tyler, Matt, Josh, Marcus, Stephen, you really knocked it out of the park for us. Definitely would recommend these guys!

Excellent customer service
Pros:

I cannot say enough about the customer service. From their assistance with my lost chargers, to accommodating me with an early check in and the service in the bar/restaurant by Sara and the other bartender, it was all topnotch. I chose the Grand Hyatt for its location but would stay again for the customer service.

Great Valet Guys
Pros:

Parking at a downtown hotel is always a little stressful. Was greeted with awesome valet service from Marcus, Steven, Tyler and Malek. They were super helpful and quick in getting my luggage out, directing me clearly where to go to park, and were very friendly and cheerful. Presented all the parking options clearly with no pressure. Great job guys!
