Pros:

It was a nice stay overall. It is a road dirt to get there and it was a bit rough but the final destination makes it worth the drive. The location feels safe and the food was very good.

The staff was great and friendly. The hotel, pool, and overall atmosphere was on par. The W-Fi was not consistent, would go out for 5 minutes at least twice a day. The road for the last 3 miles to hotel was not paved and had numerous serious potholes. You definitely need an SUV, especially if rain is forecasted. Really couldn’t leave hotel due to road conditions. Boat ride and jet skis are extra. Food was a plus. After all that I would stay again.

We loved our stay! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Very cool setting— gorgeous lake. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Be prepared to do some planning, and to spend money on excursions. Also, the road to the hotel is not paved, which adds to travel time. All in all, it’s still a great place to stay.

Awesome too bad I didn’t had more time to spend there it was only 1 night stay but recommit 100% will be back to it for sure once I’m back in El Salvador. They have jet-ski and boats so the lake can be tour at good prices pool open until 10 pm. Food at restaurant was amazing.

We stayed at Equinoccio for our 1-year wedding anniversary and it was absolutely incredible, so I felt compelled to leave a review.

This locally-owned hotel felt like a true boutique experience: the views were amazing, the rooms were clean and had really good A/C and the facility is pristine. The amenities included a restaurant/bar, jet ski/boating, and transportation.

One of the most notable things was the above and beyond hospitality. The staff are amazing - welcoming and attentive. We never had to flag anyone down because they always checked on us. It really made us feel special.

Further, the manager Carlos was incredible. After a visit to a coffee farm he offered to personally pick us up. He shared the hotel's philosophy on supporting the local community, from the people he hired to the ingredients in the meals. That's something you don't experience often

A very nice and welcome surprise was the AMAZING food. Quite literally some of the best authentic Salvadoran food we had while on the trip. They also roast their own coffee and I'm actually drinking a cup of their coffee as I type this.

Let me tell you - I don't write reviews often, but Equinnocio is amazing and I hope it remains a staple in the area. Please do yourself the favor and stay here.

An incredible experience all around. Top notch service and incredible view. Great food and all the extras were awesome. We loved all the staff and Daniel. We jet skied and it was fun. I strongly recommend paying for the rooms with a lake side view...worth every penny to see the sunrise from bed.
