Very pleasant stay. Very central with free parking. Great breakfast. Lovely staff.
Pros:

Great central location. Breakfast’s were superb. Staff were very friendly & efficient.
Room was quite small but very comfy bed & decent shower. We’ll know what to ask for to get a better view next time.

Cons:

Double room was ok but could have done with a bit more room. Beautifully decorated and very comfy bed though. Sadly lunch & dinner not available on the days we stayed (Tue / Wed) … however, substantial breakfast kept us going!!

Lovely staff and brilliant breakfast made this stay fantastic!
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast made for n excellent stay.

Cons:

The shower pressure is the bathroom wasn't great and the bathroom is a little outdated but everything else was great and it didn't affect our stay!

Breakfast was delicious .Lots of choice, good ingredients well cooked and presented. The room was large well decorated, comfortable furniture and huge bed.

Pros:

Very good breakfast with a good amount of choice for cooked options. Personally I would have liked a few more cold options, bircher muesli, more fruit etc.

Cons:

My room overlooking High Street so the street lights did help keep me awake in the night, will request room further back next time.
Coffee brand I think needs reviewing ok but not brilliant.

Very comfortable with pleasant staff, right in the middle of town
Pros:

Such a pleasant hotel, right in the middle of Melrose. Warm and welcoming on a grey and wet mid January day, we only stayed one night but slept really well and enjoyed the huge choice at breakfast. The room and bathroom were big, and our initial brief disappointment turned to joy when we opened the cupboard and found the kettle and loads of tea/coffee choices, and a small fan heater. It was all very clean. We didn't stay for dinner but judging by the quality of the breakfast (poached fish included) you would do well in the evening too.
