Scandic Ishavshotel

The hotel is very well located with a view of the harbor and easy access to the downtown area. It's a great place to spend the night before flying out since it's close to the airport (well, most of Tromso is close to the airport. it's very small).

Breakfast was a surprise and extraordinary in variety, deliciousness and service. Loved our view and being able to open our windows to the sea.

The hotel location is perfect for all the activities, there's taxi, bus ,boat or walk towards downtown. I like my hotel room is cozy & clean. And also the view it's waterfront, The staff were great friendly and they will respond to any question you have .The breakfast was very good a lot of choices hundreds.perhaps.If ever i will visit Tromso again I'll stay in the ssme hotel.

Nothing to complain about. Nice location, nice view

This was are only BAD experience during two excellent weeks in Norway. I made a silly error by booking (and paying in advance for) the wrong week for our 3 night stay. I immediately realised my error and contacted them to ask to move our reservation forward one week. Rooms were available but I was told NO, it is a non-cancellable booking. Hard to believe. The booking agent, Expedia, were told the same thing, so I lost a lot of money.
A dreadful approach to customer relationships. Just a shameless money grab. Avoid.

Location is good. If you can get a room with a view that is nice. After that things start to go down hill. Parking is limited and expensive if you get a spot. Service is OK at best for front desk. Service at the restaurant is awful and dinner there was terrible. There are much better hotels close by for same price range but better quality and service.

Wonderful hotel for a stay in Tromsø. Very clean, helpful staff, and in a prime location. Views from our room were spectacular - we spent an afternoon gazing out and reading our books. Plenty of breakfast options that set us up for the day. Super easy access to/from the airport as the Airport Express bus stops directly outside. Cannot fault this hotel, we'll definitely be back one day!

Hearty breakfast with many choices

Absolutely love this place. Ideal location for scenic views of the fjords and mountains, birding, walkable sight-seeing, dining, etc. Friendly staff and nice accommodations. Highly recommend.

A beautiful hotel. We only stayed one night but they were welcoming and friendly. The room was very nice. We went to the buffet dinner and it was outstanding! It was pretty much the only place we found that had a full vegetarian buffet!

Breakfast great but dinner buffet was disappointing

The staff was great. You need to know to ask for a spot with a vehicle charger if you have an electric car. If it is hot out, you will be hot as there is no A/C. We did not leave the window open because of the concert outside and the sea gulls in the morning (would be too loud). The shower is very small. Breakfast is traditional and nice.

Great hotel. Great location. Awesome breakfast buffet. Friendly and professional staff. You just reserve parking as hotel spots are limited. But there is plenty of public parking around, though you must keep paying in the app. and not forget to renew time.

The views from the rooms with the view of the sea are simply stunning. We spent a lot of time watching the world go by outside. It was well worth the additional cost!

We greatly enjoyed our stay! It is convenient to shopping and restaurants and has a beautiful view of the harbour and mountains! Staff were courteous and helpful.
The breakfast buffet has many many incredible offerings, including gluten free grains, bread, and much more! 4 varieties of pickled herring! The Chef is friendly and knowledgeable about GF items.

Great stay, great location

Right on the harbor, conveniently located near everything downtown, beautiful views of the bridge and harbor from the dining area (and some rooms). Breakfast was plentiful and had a great variety. Would recommend!
