Please note that the half board meal plan will not be available on the 24th and 31st of December. During these days the Grande Hotel do Porto will provide special menus that should be reserved in advance.

Zentral gelegenes Hotel, guter Ausgangspunkt, um Porto zu erleben

Sehr freundliches Personal, geräumiges Zimmer. Sehr zentral gelegen. Alles prima.

The perfect location but lacking some of the touches of other hotels.
Pros:

Excellent location. Fantastic history

Cons:

We stayed in a suite and there were standard amenities missing like Kleenex, lotion, and free coffee pods. The shower was poorly designed and flooded every morning. The rooftop chairs had a ridiculous design and were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was in a grand room but the food was mediocre.

Cons:

Das Frühstück passte nicht so ganz zum sonstigen Erscheinungsbild,es war ausreichend,aber nicht sehr vielfältig.

Vackert, pampigt inrett hotell med ett mycket centralt läge! Rekommenderas!
Pros:

Fint rum. Vackra salonger! Trevlig personal. Bra att man kunde få ha bagaget kvar på hotellet när man checkat ut. Mycket centralt och bra läge!

Cons:

Något för hård säng. Kuddarna otympliga och inte sovvänliga. (Verkar tyvärr vara vanligt i Portugal)

Grand style at a very reasonable price.
Pros:

We felt very pampered and stylish, staying in this beautiful 19th century building with lovely decor and attentive staff. A treat being served drinks in the Windsor Bar, surrounded by photos of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor (aka Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson) who stayed here in the mid-30's before it all went wrong. Our room was like a mini-suite, with the bed up a staircase above a compact living room (sofa, TV, minibar etc.) and bathroom with bath and shower. Very comfortable bed and quiet, despite the hotel being on a busy street in the city centre. Grand dining room where we had an excellent breakfast with an excellent range of hot and cold food. There were also spacious, beautifully appointed, reading rooms where one could relax... or work.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike - 5* experience in the grand style at a very reasonable price.

This hotel made our stay in Porto an absolute pleasure.
Pros:

Reception & Porters are very welcoming, informative and efficient. Breakfast - good food selection and availability. Bar Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Housekeeping, very clean & good quality beds, soap, shampoo, coffee in the room etc:- Standard check out was 12 noon and luggage storage available pre flight. The hotel feels and looks luxurious with beautiful furnishings and chandeliers. Whilst providing a modern, efficient and service. Highly recommend.

Cons:

An option of a softer pillow, however, I/we neglected to ask for one! With hindsight, I am sure they would've found us one. On the plus side there are two very good firm pillows provided and a soft bed cushion too.

Lovely stay at Hotel Do Porto
Pros:

Location is great, as it is right in the middle of the main area of Porto (you step out onto a Main Street) but somehow it is not noisy or disruptive. Staff were warm and helpful, hotel is very grand and beautiful, good selection at breakfast. Rooftop garden was a bonus, we had some drinks up there one evening.

Cons:

Bit pricey and rooms are on the smaller side

Great hotel in the shopping district
Pros:

Grand hotel in the main shopping centre. Next to the fabulous food market and 500 meters from the station so easy to catch the train to the airport. Staff really friendly and helpful, breakfast a variety and adequate for a day's sightseeing. Hotel spotless, bar quirky and tasty cocktails. Rooms clean, standard quite small so if I was to return I'd pay extra for a larger room and bigger bed. 15 minute walk to the river. Overall a really good stay and would recommend.

Beautiful ambience. Short on usual complimentary tea, coffee, water
Pros:

Location was excellent.
Breakfast was good, but no bircher muslei and few fruit choices.

Cons:

No complimentary tea or coffee or water. Most other hotels do this.
Nowhere to store toiletries in the bathroom.
Only one chair for 2 people.
