Amelia Schoolhouse Inn

Outstanding boutique hotel in walking distance to historic downtown. Hotel is a converted school house with thoughtfully placed decorations. Principles Office Bar is great place for evening cocktail. Rooms are a bit small with little room for storing clothing and/bathroom toiletries but easy to overlook given the overall quality and experience. Very nice continental breakfast each morning as well.

I had an unfortunate accident which caused me to make a trip to the ER for stitches and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Very reasonable rates given what you get and the overall experience.
We will definitively return on our next visit to the island.

We had stayed at a previous location renovated by Spence and wanted to stay at this one. The schoolhouse has thoughtful school touches in the art and rooms. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was popcorn, coffee, and snacks available on the floor. Courtney was very friendly and helpful checking us in and as a bartender in the Principal's office. It was sweltering hot outside so we didn't do much around the island. She had good restaurant recommendations too. Little did we know, we were spoiled for the rest of our two week road trip as this was the first stop.

Amelia Schoolhouse Inn was a really unique place to stay. The staff was friendly, and amenities are great! Close to downtown and other nearby attractions. Highly recommend if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.

We enjoyed the school house decor and overall theme of the historic building. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely have to come back again.

The Schoolhouse is a quaint historic inn with great hospitality and is walkable to everything in downtown Fernandina. The property has been stylishly updated while preserving its historic features. The staff and management is top notch.

Beautiful restoration and attention to detail. Conveniently located. Excellent value for the incredibly comfortable rooms and beautifully themed property. My wife and I look forward to visiting again and we highly recommend this Inn!

Great location—walkable to downtown and many restaurants. The building is so charming and great decoration to keep the school ambience. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

The staff here was awesome! They were soo kind and accommodating and we would stay there again because of them! We love the location and the cozy, clean rooms and service! The bar & the patio were great! We loved having coffee in the morning & we would definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful accommodations, staff and location for a weekend stay in Fernandina beach. Rooms were well kept, clean and quiet. Easy walking distance to downtown Fernandina Beach and all it has to offer. Live music on Thursday, Friday & Saturday on the outside patio was a nice complement to the inn and its hospitality. If I return to Fernandina beach I will stay here again
