Staff was the highlight. No cell service, which is a viewpoint. In our case, the entire property lost electrical power during a rainstorm. No one around to tell us what the prognosis might be. It appeared more likely from the water than electrical, but we didn't stick around to find out. We loaded up and left, heading back towards Ely. The highway was washed out in three places, but we made it back by nightfall, with just enough miles left on the EV to get charged up to head down the loneliest hwy.
Timing. Likely the perfect place to see the stars when there are not clouds and storms.
Loved it. Close to Great Basin National Park. Quiet facility with friendly staff. Perfect!
Can’t think Of anything that could be better.
Best room we have stayed in during our road trip. Excellent two bedroom suite with a full kitchen. On site accommodations were excellent with a pool and hot tub, game room. Beautiful, tranquil area in the canyon but convenient to Great Basin National park. Highly recommend! Excellent for star gazing.
Nothing!
We loved the room, location, hot tub, and pool. Thought the property was really well maintained.
Nothing.
Amazing stay! The property was so nice and the kind woman at check in was so welcoming. I was solo traveling and a bit nervous about finding the property and being a bit remote, but it was absolutely perfect for stargazing.
The bed was very comfortable. Mule deer were right outside the door.
If you are booking for the star gazing it is a bit disappointing. They turn off perimeter lights at 9:30 but light still blames from the main entrance area.
The night sky was bursting with incredible stars. I've never seen the milky way so clearly. Deer everywhere. Friendly staff. We stayed for one night on our way to Utah, but wished we could have stayed longer. The bedroom/kitchenette had everything needed. We would love to return.
Secluded. Best in the area. Everything is clean and well-kept.
It is 30 minutes drive from main road. Absolutely nothing around. There is no breakfast, do not trust their website or google information. You will get joghurt or 7$ to spend in the shop. Rooms are big but old. They would never exist if national park wouldn't be there. Honestly it is better to stay in other motel. During check in we got an info that it is possible to resell unused night. I asked if canceling a reservation would help to put our room again online. They texted me that they do not offer free nights. WHAT? I have paid for my stay. I was trying to find a solution - time is crucial in this metter.
