Great place to stopover before or after the Tunnel.
Pros:

We’ve stayed here before and it is a very convenient stop after driving from Manchester and crossing the Channel via the Tunnel. A very comfortable budget hotel, nice big well equipped rooms.

Nice well located hotel for Le Shuttle - tad high costs
Pros:

The private location 10 minutes from the shuttle terminal made this a great choice for an early crossing with a car full of luggage. The staff were professional, helpful and friendly and the room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was great and we believe that the restaurant is of a very good standard for other meals.

Cons:

It is expensive for what it is and charging an extra thirty euros for a pet for what is already an expensive room does seem excessive.
We did however appreciate being given a disabled access room near to the entrance which meant we could exercise our dog and access the room more easily.
A suggestion for the hotel is to look at making their shower controls more usable for those like my wife who have arthritis.

We arrived at the hotel quite late with young children and found the room to be extremely hot. The air conditioning was not working, and we were informed that it is turned off during the winter, with advice to turn down the heater. However, the heater was not on. Our room was located next to the laundry room, which seemed to make the temperature even warmer. The only way to cool the room was by opening the window.

Given the heat and location, this room does not feel suitable for families with young children. In addition, the second bed was not properly made, and the breakfast selection was fairly ordinary.

Tired old hotel very much in need of tender love and care
Pros:

The location is was convenient - very close to the Eurotunel. The food and drinks we had for dinner were nice.

Cons:

Dirty bathroom covered in limescale and black mold due to insufficient cleaning. Extractor fan in the bathroom not working. Extreme noise from the kitchen AC/ventilation heard in the room from very early morning hours until very late night. Tiny pillows.
