Pros:

I have rested at this hotel before. I'm happy to return to this historic hotel and will do so in the future. My evening was entertained by fellow travellers touring the South Island in their high priced sports cars. My evening meal was venison and it was lovely.

Great value for money! Nice to have the breakfast included and a fridge to put our food in as we were riding the Paparoa. Place has Lots of character

Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms & yummy food at the pub. Welcoming staff & a handy location to start the Paparoa Track. Liked that there was a communal kitchenette for making tea & coffee.

Cons:

Its a historic building in a very quiet town, but thats all part of the charm.
