Passive aggressive comments from the couple who owned the place made us feel like we weren't welcome. Thanks goodness for the younger staff who made up for it good service and smiles.

Good selection of beers and a very good menu. Great venison and rum pudding

Freindly staff, kitchen offers enjoyable meals within a historical building.
Pros:

A return visit from 2024. Room with comfortable bed, bathroom down the corridor. Old wooden building. Friendly staff, my evening meal was venison which was lovely. I will return.
