Excellent staff and hospitality
Lights would cut off by themselves leaving me in the dark while showering etc ...very frustrating
The location and the courtesy of the staff
I did not eat breakfast
I enjoyed my stay. I like the fact that the hotel is near MARTA trains and buses.

The hotel never received my reservation thru Booking. So we had to get another room. I have contested the charge to my cc because we didn’t have the room thru booking that we were supposed to have booked. We have paid twice for a room but I’m confident you will issue a credit for full amount.

Location was great for the activities we planned. So homey too
The rooms were beautiful and staff was so friendly.
There were random clumps of pubic hair or hair from a beard under the sink in the bathroom and randomnly throughout the bathroom and in the sink in the hallway, this just made me feel like the whole room was nasty after thing and to be such a nice hotel the beds were so uncomfortable.
It was well located.
Had to wait a long time for the elevator.
If I could give the Hampton Inn & Suites Decatur/Emory more than five stars, I would!
I was driving to Florida and wanted to spend a couple of days in Atlanta, but I specifically wanted to avoid staying downtown because of the World Cup Fan Fest crowds. I also wanted to be within a reasonable drive of kosher restaurants. A friend who grew up in Atlanta suggested the Decatur area, and it turned out to be one of the best travel recommendations I've ever received.
From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I had picked the right hotel. Check-in took only a couple of minutes, and the front desk staff couldn't have been warmer or more welcoming. They took the time to ask about my plans, offered great local advice, and recommended taking an Uber to the Georgia Aquarium instead of driving because of the Fan Fest traffic. That suggestion alone saved me a tremendous amount of time, money, and frustration.
What really stood out throughout my stay was the people. Every member of the staff I encountered genuinely seemed to enjoy their job, and that positive attitude was contagious. Their friendliness never felt forced—it was sincere. As I was returning the luggage cart before checking out, a housekeeper stopped me with a smile and insisted that I leave it for her. It's a small gesture, but it's exactly the kind of thoughtful service that separates a good hotel from an exceptional one.
As an unexpected bonus, I was upgraded to a larger room. It was immaculate, incredibly spacious, and one of the quietest hotel rooms I've stayed in. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and everything—from the air conditioning and television to the shower and Wi-Fi—worked flawlessly. The extra room gave me plenty of space to organize my luggage and cooler without feeling cramped, making the stay even more relaxing.
The complimentary breakfast was exactly what I wanted. I'm not someone who eats a huge breakfast, so Hampton's selection of cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, and other morning favorites was perfect before heading out for a day of sightseeing.
Although I didn't use the fitness center or other amenities, everything I saw looked spotless and well maintained, reinforcing the impression that this hotel takes great pride in its property.
Parking was easy and convenient, right outside a side entrance, with only a small, reasonable fee. The neighborhood felt safe, quiet, and welcoming. For anyone who wants to experience Atlanta without the stress of staying downtown, this location is hard to beat.
Everything about this stay exceeded my expectations. Outstanding customer service, spotless and comfortable accommodations, a fantastic location, and a staff that truly cares about its guests made this one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I've had in a long time.
I travel fairly often, and it's rare to find a hotel where everything just clicks. The Hampton Inn & Suites Decatur/Emory did exactly that. I will absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Atlanta, and I recommend it without hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay! A special thank you to Cassie and Chris at the front desk for providing outstanding customer service and for the excellent recommendation to visit Capt. Loui's, it was a great choice!
I'd also like to thank the wonderful staff member who helped us around 2:00 a.m. Her kindness and willingness to assist us were truly appreciated.
Finally, a big thank you to the lady who prepared breakfast this morning. I didn't catch her name, but she greeted everyone with a smile and spoke to every guest she encountered. Her friendliness made for a great start to the day.
Thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable. We truly appreciate your hospitality!
Rooms pleasant enough, staff were friendly
Breakfast was not great , I would expect better from this chain. My son is a student athlete and he couldn't eat any of it
The location was only 6 miles from my work
The breakfast was COLD. No 1st floor rooms as requested. I thought the rooms were overpriced. That's just my personal opinion
The Room, the Pool, the breakfast and the staff were amazing!
The bathroom commode was too low for me. I’m 6’1
Spacious room, very comfy king bed, fridge was cold, large shower area, clean room.
Staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly (except on checkin evening). Great location for walking around Decatur.
The sheets felt “old” and not crisp like the pillowcases were. The towels are a bit small. Lacking fruit selection at breakfast since we don’t eat eggs or cereal. Cable went out first night and our room wasn’t restored until next late afternoon! Sadly on last day, alarm kept sounding and blocked elevators so we carried our luggage down 4 flights to get to parking deck. Finally got someone to override elevator so that I didn’t have to lug heavy stroller down the staircase.
Very clean and comfortable
