Anniversary Trip
Pros:

The location is perfect in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The hotel is clean with all the amenities you need in the room. The room is spacious with a very comfortable bed and big tv. It's a great value for the money. The icing on the cake is the staff. Katrina at the front desk was extremely helpful and very informative and friendly. She even gave us a gift for our anniversary. The other front desk staff ard security were fantastic as well. The Wood and Paddle's food was delicious with an equally exceptional staff as well. We were not planning to but we ate there twice. Parking is right on location even though it's a different vendor. The staff made our anniversary memorable and beautiful. We highly, highly recommend The Royal Sonesta Minneapolis. You will not be disappointed.

Staff tries hard with what they have, but rooms are very dated
Pros:

The hotel had a decent rate so we decided to book it. The staff was friendly and welcoming. However, our room was extremely dated... very stained carpets (I doubt housekeeping can get rid of such deep stains and I wouldn't blame them at all), badly scratched furniture, and the air conditioning barely worked in our room. We don't plan to return to this hotel simply because there are much better options in Downtown Minnie for similar pricing points.

My experience with this Hotel was ideal. The location was perfect considering it was one block away from the Target Center. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Katrina who went above and beyond her job description to accommodate our stay. Her warm personality was the highlight of my stay!
