I like the location, close to the esplande and cairns central , casino very central..

Cons:

This is about the 8+?? Time i have stayed at hides. For location and price only.
In saying that i am not sure why they continually hire the most unfriendly miserable reception staff ! if they smiled they would crack there face.
Sorry this is not a one off. Suggestion, Maybe give an australian citizen a go.

Great hotel when you wants to do shopping.
Pros:

Location. It was quite noisy till 3am from outdoor as we stayed at the hotel on Saturday night, but we really loved the location. Easy walk to everything we need to get what we need.

Cons:

Lifts. There was only one old small lift in the facility.
Clearness of the room. Our room had "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging on outside door handle when we checked-in and there was an opened plastic bottle left in the fridge, which made us worried if someone would come in later.
No hand towel were provided. There was two bath mats, but no hand towel in the room.

Great service
Pros:

Great service! Eventhough we had arrived early than the check in time, the staff checked us in without any delays.

Cons:

The towel rack and Toilet paper holder were unstable, would be good to have these replaced. Otherwise everything else was in good condition.

Enjoyed the stay, decent accommodation, central to the shopping centers and malls.
Pros:

Breakfast and location are fine. Just that it's too noisy from the surrounding pubs and drunkard locals.

Cons:

No duty manager after 10pm in the event of emergencies.

The price was within our budget although I think a huge amount of pride is needed here.
Pros:

The breakfast was amazing. Room was clean and bed comfortable.

Cons:

Walking into our room, curtains hanging off rods and many holes, certainly not a good look. We feel that the whole place needs a good update. Do not like having shower over bath, not convenient for elderly patrons.

Ich habe mich nicht wohl gefühlt und kann es auf gar keinen Fall empfehlen.
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt relativ zentral. Die Innenstadt, der Night Market, ein großes Einkaufszentrum und diverse Restaurants und Bistros sind fussläufig gut erreichbar.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und extrem schmutzig. Wir haben Schimmel im Kühlschrank und ein beflecktes Bettlaken vorgefunden, um nur einiges zu nennen.

Завтрак стандартный для этих мест, яиц нет, йогурт, мюсли с молоком и тост с кофе, наесться можно. Расположен очень удобно

Cons:

Вайфай в номере не ловил, приходилось спускаться в лобби отеля. Кондей расположен неудобно, дует на кровати прямо, спал на третьей кровати поменьше)

Good room but the rest is sufferable
Pros:

The hotel sits in a great location at Cairns CBD. The price is not too bad as well. Now, the room is quite big and really comfortable, which is the best thing of the hotel. If you travel for business and you are not going to stay for long, maybe this is a good value for money option.

Cons:

Problems are many. Starting with maintenance, walls are dirty and have mold everywhere, stairs carpets are dirty and are tearing apart, you will find weird stains everywhere. Considering it's an old hotel; they should either work for renovation or trying harder to keep it in a good state. Bed sheets and towels have some mysterious stains on them. Staff is constantly upset with something, and they aren't too courteous either. Breakfast is passable, but the space is not pleasant, even with the nice view. The policy of AU$100 bond for the key is ridiculous as most keys and keyholes are old fashioned and some doors don't lock. I once had to change rooms because the door wasn't locking properly. And it takes an eternity to get the bond refund, so, if you don't want to have money being held for weeks, just don't stay there. The hotel has great potential, but administration clearly leave everything behind.
