Cons:

The restaurant they had on the property wasn’t that great I had breakfast there and I ordered a fruit bowl and it was completely dried old fruit.

Pros:

NA

Cons:

Room 201 is the smallest hotel/motel room we have ever stayed in. But, the worst part is the heat would not work, it just kept blowing cold air. The outside temp is 36 degrees and it wasn't much warmer than that in the room. It was to cold to take a shower. We do not recommend this place.

This was an awful stay due to unprepared staff and poor management.
Pros:

The bed was comfortable

Cons:

We arrived at the hotel at 4:30 as check in was 4:00. We were told that it would be a few minutes before we could check in as the cleaning crew was finishing our room. We waited 30 minutes and inquired again and was told the room was still not ready. We decided to take a walk along the riverfront and came back an hour later and the room was still not ready. The front desk staff did not seem to be very concerned that we had waited 2.5 hours to check into our room. Once I got visibly upset and asked for a manager they finally got the housekeeping manager to make sure that our room was ready. During our stay the hotel restaurant/bar was closed for one evening because one employee had a family emergency and we also had to ask for a heater because our room was so cold due to the boilers not working. This hotel is basically a motel 6 with a boutique rebranding. DON’T BE FOOLED!!!

Staff and location fantastic. Expensive for how old and outdated the room is
Pros:

Location, staff, amenities

Cons:

Very noisy, barely slept. Windows are so old and don’t block any sound. Windows don’t open and shut properly

Old and outdated furniture except for the bed which was great

Hotel Rose is decent to stay in Portland for 1 night.
Pros:

The decor and ambience was fun! Front desk staff was very helpful with my request.
We were immediately accommodated with a new room. Initially we were placed right next door to a family of what sound like 8 loud kids, and I asked to be moved.
Location of property is pretty great. Along water front, right near downtown and easy access to bridges or freeway.

Cons:

Room was super super small. We had absolutely no view and I don’t recall a description when choosing rooms. The carpet or paint in the hallway looked old. The sliding door to the bathroom is horrible. To pay for parking and not be guaranteed an above level spot or security to prevent from break ins, is ridiculous.

Enjoyed muchly, highly recommend and WILLreturn!
Pros:

great location for mt Moda Center Springsteen concert and downtown wanderings, an available room was ready early (1:00 p.m. AND a river view!) - lucky me, Kennedy at front desk was extra personable and even remembered and addressed me by name later in the day - nice touch
