Location only
I knew it was an old hotel but not clean at all and very overpriced. Dirty bathroom and towels.
Professional and friendly staff. Easy check in and excellent communication by Antonio at the front desk
This hotel is right in the thick of things in the middle of The Stockyards. We chose to stay here due to the historical significance of the hotel. There is a Bonnie and Clyde room where they are said to have stayed during their crime spree. However, I didn't choose that room. For the price of this hotel. I was a little disappointed in the accommodations but understand that the price is mostly due to the location and the historical aspect. The room was somewhat small for the price, and walls were thin. The people in the next room were fighting late at night and it was definitely a problem. We stayed mid-week and it was relatively quiet otherwise, but I can definitely see that it would be very noisy on the weekend. They provide earplugs to guests in the room. There is no parking on site and all parking is valet. My favorite thing though was the large portrait of Will Rogers as I'm quite a fan of his. Staff was nice and helpful. Nice lobby. The adjacent bar called Booger Red's was awesome and had really cool bar stools shaped like a saddles. Overall, it was great to be in the center of everything, but I'm glad it wasn't on the weekend when I'm sure it gets crazy loud.
Location was excellent. Bar and restaurant were great. Staff were helpful and kind.
The bathrooms were very small; however, that may not be able to be helped if there's red tape regarding renovations. Not having a full length mirror in the rooms was a burden. It would be easy to attach them on the inside of the armoires.
The first bedroom did not meet our expectations as it was very dark but the very nice lady at the desk found us a solution for the second night . Many thanks to the whole team who was really friendly and super efficient in finding solutions.
The rooms are so authentically western. They are always clean. The location cannot be beat!
We wish the bar area would stay open later.
Front desk staff was very helpful.
Got our room and opened the door and looked like someone was already checked into it. We finally got it resolved but take a minute to being short staffed.
Our room overlooked the courtyard but was very comfortable. The water pressure was very strong. No long wait for hot water. There was a Keurig coffee maker in the room and coffee in the lobby, but no microwave or refrigerator. The restaurant was closed for breakfast when we were there, but I believe it's open on the weekends. Not sure if the restaurant is open for lunch, but it is open for dinner. It's old and quaint.
The staff was so helpful and friendly. The parking valets were excellent. There is a valet charge of $28. I don't know where you would park, otherwise. It is on a one-way street. The street is brick and the hotel is right in the middle of everything.

Needs updating
A 2 night stay chosen on the good ratings. The worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
Filthy carpets, antiquated tiny bathrooms, over whelming smell of revolting cleaning solutions.
Not cleaned well, cigarette holes in bedding, cracked sink, grubby shower curtains, grubby blankets & holes in very worn towels.
Unprofessional staff.
Incredibly noisy, thankfully we moved rooms to the back of the hotel.
Wish we had stayed in The Hotel Drover which is owned by The Marriott group who also ironically own this hotel.
Front desk crew were exceptional! Best location in the Stockyards area! Beautiful, historic hotel
Small bathrooms - but it’s a historic hotel so understandable.
Everything about this place was great. Dog friendly, location, good staff, clean comfortable rooms. Parking sucked be ready for that
