The pool are is beautiful and the historic decor in entire first floor is cool.
The AC in our room was extremely noisy, and the room was a bit small and dark.
Amazing breakfast on the patio. Great food
AC in the room was crazy loud.
Location
Very nice property a block from the square. Rooms were nice sized and beds were very comfy.
Pool was beautiful- though it was still too chilly to swim. Live music was fun.
The staff was warm and welcoming, the space was beautiful, the room was very comfortable, and the pool / hot tub was fantastic! We used the gym and it was very efficient. The location couldn't be beat!
I would not have changed a thing, it was great.
The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is wonderful. The valet staff are very helpful and fast.
The room I was in had an overwhelming moldy smell which gave me a severe headache the 1st night. I had to open a window which did help a little. The closest elevator to my room was "out of service" and it was very cumbersome and timely to get to my room. The carpet in the hallways looked dirty with stains. The carpet in the hallways was unraveling in places. The elevator looked dirty, but I am not sure if it was the paint, repaint and caulking over caulk that made it seem that way.
The location is wonderful. The staff and valet were friendly and accommodating,
One of the elevators was "out of service" for the duration of our stay so there was only one everyone had to use. It was so slow we ended up taking the stairwell. The elevators themselves are very small and musty. The hallways were very musty and the carpet is dirty, the room had an overwhelming smell of mold that gave my daughter had a horrible headache, we had to open a window which did help a little bit.
So much to like here, including a truly beautiful heated pool with guest-friendly hours. Excellent morning coffee in the breakfast facility. Best of all - - the staff. Incredibly helpful and went out of their way to assist. Don't expect all-out service here, there is a little bit of a "help yourself" attitude with bags and such. We stayed for a few days in a much pricier hotel on the first leg of our Santa Fe vacation and that offered a higher level of service and amenities if that is what you're looking for. For me, though, the Loretto stay was friendlier, less "stuffy", and mostly perfect. (Note: there is onsite valet parking, but a word to the wise: check your car for any dings when it comes back to you from the parking area.)
Central to Santa Fe and nice architecture
Somehow dated equipment and mistake in our reservation
This is a nice property in a great location. However, I think it is a bit overpriced.
The rooms are definitely outdated. The fireplace in the room is just an ornament- candle in there. The view of the mountains from the balcony was the view of a roof in the immediate and then had some mountains past that. Not bad but not great.
.The pool area is very nice and the “living room”- bar area was nice. The fireplace there with the couches is comfy.
There are a lot of shops in the hotel when you walk in, but most weren’t open regularly, perhaps due to the holiday. The one gift shop was lovely and the lady working helped me with a jewelry purchase.
We booked through Chase Edit and had free breakfast for 3 days, we used 2 and it was very good. The one day we did not was Easter and we could not use it on property that day. We didn’t know that ahead of time and were a little annoyed when we went down at 10:30 to learn that. It can be difficult to find something to drink at the property if the store is closed, bar is not open etc. i wish they had coffee and tea available throughout the day.
You have to valet your car-not a fan of having to bother someone every time you need your car. On a positive note, the guys were great and very helpful.
On a negative note- I tried to get change for tips one day at the front desk(which is weirdly placed) and the guy said, “I only have 100’s”. Ummm…okay. Weird.
Overall, a decent place to stay but maybe at a different time.
The location was great! We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see and do. The staff was kind and friendly. The pool area is excellent, and the hot tub was very much needed after a long day of walking
The pool was amazing and the location was perfect.
The room was a bit small for 4 people, I should have booked something bigger than a standard room
