Good location, comfortable room, attempts to be luxurious, but lack of attention to details falls short
Pros:

It’s a pretty property in a perfect location. It has an upscale feel and is welcoming.

Cons:

We ordered room service on our first night there. It was prompt and good food. Two days later when we checked out, the food tray we’d placed in the hallway that first evening was still there. Seems like a very lacking service. It also lacked attention to detail. The fan light in our bathroom only had one light cover. The battery operated candle in the fireplace didn’t work. The first room we were assigned was on the second floor. It had a balcony area that overlooked the heating vents. It was dark and felt like a cave. Luckily the front desk moved us to a room on a higher floor that was much nicer. However when I asked to be moved, the front desk attendant made the change, but her demeanor toward me changed from friendly to distant and disinterested.

Perfection!
Pros:

Everything was superb about our stay, staff were so lovely and helpful. Even gave us extra tips for the rest of our trip. Always friendly and available. Location was perfect, beds were AMAZING, room, comfort - everything was fantastic! Would highly recommend and if I make it back to Santa Fe I would absolutely stay again. The venue is gorgeous!

Great solo staycation
Pros:

I booked myself a few nights stay at The Inn and Spa at Loretto to give myself a little vacation and was very happy with my choice. I wanted to give a special shout out to front desk staff, and in particular Nikki, Tami and Janelle, and the housekeeping staff Rosario, Astrid and Rosa, who all went above and beyond to help me out and make my stay so special. I also thought the valet workers and the staff that worked at breakfast were also outstanding and will be the reason I come back here the next time I come to Santa Fe.

Exactly the stay we were hoping for in Santa Fe
Pros:

We came to the Inn at Loretto after an unpleasant experience at another local hotel. We were exhausted after a sleepless night and looking for a warm and inviting place to spend the rest of our vacation. Hunter at the front desk provided exactly the welcoming and friendly hospitality we needed. We were grateful for his enthusiastic welcome and willingness to share restaurant recommendations and suggestions for our stay. He really helped turn around a frustrating experience. In fact, every staff person we encountered was genuine and helpful.

We had a great stay overall. As others have mentioned, the rooms could use some refreshing and remodeling, especially the bathrooms. Our room was quite dark with barely a window (which I chalked up to the adobe style). But it was clean and quiet, and just fine for two nights. The bed was comfy and we slept well. I was grateful that they don't offer wood-burning fireplaces, as smoke was an issue at our previous lodging.

The breakfast at Luminaria is spectacular. I'd highly recommend the breakfast package. It was a great way to start the day - as is the coffee shop in the lobby area. We also enjoyed the comfy "living room" area with live music, good drinks, and nice people. The shopping options in the lobby area are great. And, the pool is lovely and warm, even in the winter. We swam at night and enjoyed the hot tub.

Location can't be beat, and it's overall a good value for the price. We are grateful to have found the Inn at Loretto to turn our Christmas vacation around into a more positive memory!

You're paying for location, historic vibe, and great attentive service...not luxury amenities.
Pros:

Service and staff were top-notch, particularly front desk and valet parking. Location is what you're paying for and the historic, Santa Fe vibe. We appreciated the slippers, robe, fridge and coffee makers.

Cons:

The rooms don't really have the level of amenities we're used to at that price point. Doors slam too easily, bathrooms are quite out of date and need repainting, lighting is dark and bathroom lighting and ventilation is quite lacking. The pool area was great and spa was nice but without a relaxation room for hanging out before and after services.
